Sullivan

He is the WORST center in the NFL. Heck, most backups are better than him. He is undersized, under intelligent and way way underskilled. Anyone can snap the ball to the QB's feet. They need to CUT HIM NOW!!!

Perhaps he is book smart. So he has a degree from Notre Dame? Just because you have a degree doesn't mean dump. So...I'll give you that he is book smart, but that is the only smart he is. I think he is rather football stupid. Perhaps if he were football smart he would make the proper line calls, shift protection and give his QB some time. Then again, even if he does that, his man will beat him cleanly and sack Ponder.

I bet he knows more than you will ever about football. QB's call line protection too. Couches coach those protections too..... Coaches, coach Defenses to counter those protections too........

I believe Sullivan is considered one of the better centers in the league.

I think people are getting a little carried away. Not long ago everything was all peachy with this team and now today I've seen multiple different posts calling for all kinds of people to be cut, traded, or deported. This is the same team as a month ago. It was never as good as some of you wanted to believe and its probably not as bad as you are all making it out to be now. At best its an average team with some holes that still need to be filled.

Thankfully the coaches don't listen to the Rubes or based on what I've seen just in the last few threads today theyd have to trade or cut Ponder, Allen, Simpson, Sullivan, Loadholt, Greenway, Kluwe, and probably a bunch of others.

I agree nofish.

This team is exactly what we all thought it was, an optimistic .500 team, that is young, and rebuilding. They arent going to be going to the superbowl, they wont be going 14-2. They were 3-13 last year, they are 5-3 now, with half the season left. They may finish with a 5-11 record, which is an improvement. We got the 5.2 record by playing the soft part of our schedule, this is not a 11-5 team, not even close!

I am hoping most people don't have a ledge where they work, because it sure seems like a lot of people are about to jump off. Our line was not good last night, but Sullivan was not the problem. Honestly, I think we were outcoached more than anything last night.

Other than Sullivan's horrible shotgun snap, it's nearly impossible to judge an interior lineman simply by watching a game on TV. You have to meticulously breakdown the film play by play on video the team records, not what the TV camera is following. You also need to know what play was called and what the protection was/should have been.

The Vikes are an average team. That's an improvement from last year. Sullivan is far from our problem. Nor is his intelligence or size.

He is listed at 6-4, 301 lbs. Here are the Centers from last year's Pro Bowl team:

Mangold 6-4, 307

Myers 6-4, 290

Pouncey 6-4, 304

Kalil 6-2, 295

Wells 6-2, 300

    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
