poacher

There is a clearing in some brush by my house. And ever since bow season stare I have seen a truck back. You need five acres to legaly hunt. There is no way there is five acres because e would need signitures and the one guy who would need to sign is very anti-hunting. What should I do about this?

If he has a license, is hunting during legal shooting hours and presumably has permission, he's not breaking any game laws so I wouldn't label him a poacher or call the TIP line. If there is a city ordinance that you believe he's in violation of then it's a matter for your local law enforcement.

I know of a few shots this past weekend that were for sure slug shots, and the zone is not in the youth area. But, what does a guy do? I cant prove they were even hunting, not to mention doing anything illegal. I could assume they were shooting at deer, with slugs, but I dont think DNR is too concerned with my assumptions.

Unless there is obvious regulation problem, or he's minding his own business, I agree, leave him be. If he's really hunting, God love him. I worry more about slackers on street corners passing drugs around. The great outdoors is OUR drug of choice and should be enjoyed by all.

fishinjosh98- im apart of the city duluth hunt. you can go to the HSOforum and send an email to one of the head people and ask what to do. Do you know what zone he is in? Cause if its on private land. the hunter needs to have signitures from the surrounding land owners. if its within some amount of ft. of a property line.
