Am I the only one?

I am curious if I am totally out of my mind and there is something seriously wrong with me, or if anyone else does this too....

So, when I am on a road trip, or driving to work, or really anytime i'm in the car on the highway, i find myself looking at the landscape- fields, ditches, hills, etc and find myself thinking "this would be some pretty good structure, I could see the walleyes stacking up right there...ooohh...that would be a perfect spot to get on some crappies, that ditch is a good 10 feet deep, the smallies should be hanging out down there just off the ledge, etc etc etc..."

So, have I completely gone off the deep end? (pun entended) My wife thinks I have a problem. Can i possibly be alone in this? Is anyone else so obsessed with fishing that they notice structure where there is no water?

Thanks

Dylan

I do the same thing but for wetlands and prairies in the southern 1/2 of Minnesota. "Wow, that washout was a slough, same for that one...that treeline is the old lake edge." Makes a guy depressed to know Minnesota was paradise lost for small game and waterfowl.

I've done that since I was about 10 years old.

....and mosquitoes. My grandpa told us horror stories of how terrible the mosquitoes were in South Central MN in the 1910s and 1920s.

a few years ago I went to my sister and brother inlaws place over in webster S.D. we fished on an old road then drift right into the ditch, then fished by an old farm site then fished by a grove of tree's. it was pretty cool fishing that kind of strcture.kind of wild how that water rose so fast and high and took over all that land. just watch out for the barbed wire along the ditches

you are not alone
