The Minnesota walleye opener is just around the corner. We are celebrating this tradition with a new cover photo on our facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/FishingMinnesota.

If you have a great walleye photo and would like to have the chance to have it featured in our cover photo we would like to see it.

The entry deadline is Sunday, May 6th.

Photos should be in a large format (600 to 800 pixels wide) and good quality. You can post them on our facebook page or in this thread.

not the biggest but i loved being up there in God's country [Hungry Jack Lake-Gunflint Trail}, the walley's color, and watching it swim back home. Pushbutton i love the picture of your son with his hands tucked into his sleeves. Best one yet. good luck.

First one is a 33 1/2" and the hard water picture is a thick 28" from this winter.

Up by Flin Flon Manitoba. Just outside a town called Snow Lake. Sorry, can't tell you the name of the lake....it's a secret. We caught 14 walleyes over 27" in 2 hours on that lake. Best fishing I have ever had. I figured if it hadn't just spawned out it would have been in the 17 or 18 lbs range.
