Sportshow!

Sportshow starts next week. Who's going and what are you after?

I like to look at anything unique. I remember one year there was an outfit selling r/c boats that you would use to carry your lure under docks, trees, or whatever. One of my buds bought a fishing knot tying thingy that his son razed him about. The thing helped him lose a couple of lures. Funny how far you can fling a lure when the knot lets go!

I also like to see all the EXSPENSIVE electronics. I hate you guys that can actualy get away with buying that stuff wink

Another favorite is looking at the boats. I love boats. Just something special about them that calls out to me. Maybe it's because I envision the pleasure they bring by way of excitement filled trips to spots where "we are really going to nail them this year".

Enjoy!

I'll be working the NWTF booth for the first half of the day on Friday.

I like to look at the outfitters and and dream about the hunts I'll never be able to afford.

We'll be there on Friday. Hoping to see the new Warriors. Been working on the Momma for new boat so we need to find one she likes. If the Momma ain't happy, Ain't nobody happy.

I'm also looking forward to fondling all the new stuff.

One of my fishing buddies and I make an annual trip to the cities for the show and then a stop by Cabelas in Rodgers. This year we are looking for a summer trip way up north to fish for some big lakers, pike and grayling.

Plan to look for a new jigging rod at the show. Can't afford a GLOOMIS like my bro. got last year, but which other manufacturers produce a similar "feel"? I am tending towards a ML, but most I have tried are like my current Fish Eagle model and have a wimpy type top section, whereas the

Loomis seems to have better sensitivity, while maintaining a stiffer top section, which I like, but can't break the bank to get one. Trying to stay in the $110-140 range. There seem to be a lot of Limit Creek Smoothie fans in the HSO "family", but there aren't any dealers nearby to visit to look at them. Do they have a stiffer tip section or are they just another version of wimpy? As usual, any thoughts would be appreciated. Vast wealth of knowledge among the HSO readers out there.

I love the sports show. I look forward to it every year.

I'll be talking to the Humminbird reps because I'll be picking up a new

998 soon. Also looking for a couple extra line counter reels and some various tackle. I might even go twice.
