Dave
Easiest is sliding the Ice Shield onto a Monster Box I make the brackets to hold the Ice Shield when it first came out
harvey lee
I made my own auger rack and have maybe $20 in it. I can haul the wheeler down the road, across the state and it will not wiggle at all on the ATV.

hanronson
I have a Mad Dog auger rack and love it. I leave the auger in the rack when I trailer the ATV to the lake. It's very secure.

Big-Al
The Mad Dog rack works great for me. It will double as a gun rack.
iffwalleyes
Just got the Digger Auger Carrier for christmas. My mom picked it up at Fleet Farm. Slickest unit I've seen. Haven't used it yet but it will get used. You drop it in it has a clamp that goes over the shaft of the auger and a bungee that holds the motor from swinging. It is made by the manufacture of the Digger Anchor right in Sauk Centre MN.I think that rack was 60 bucks and then I need some adaptor pieces for my polaris XP with the composite rack around 20 bucks. ClownColor
wow, awesome set up there! Gotta love the chrome too!I notice cabelas has great great deals on atv accessories right now. I'm picking up a gun mount for $10 (msrp $50) with sinching strapes but I'm banking on the fact it could be a cheap auger rack/holder. Not the most mechanically inclined here to fab up somehting like that or have the cash to spend on those so I'll report back and let you know how it worked. Dave
This one worked pretty well. I didn't mind the time to strap it in usually but, it took a little longer during night fishing.
bkerschner70
This was custom made. Not the greatest picture but I can get some more. It has the polaris lock n ride clamps for quick removal, along with enough room for 2 flashers in the frame under the auger. Auger holder has an adjustable clamp. My auger doesn't move at all once secured with the clamp. I throw a bunjee around the end just in case it bounces, but it hasn't yet. Also the ends are channel so it gives you a spot to put bunjees for whatever else you want to put in there. Doesn't need the lock n ride, you could easily modify it to mount it to whatever wheeler you have. If you're interested I might be able to get one for you. Also it's all aluminum. harvey lee
Here are some pics of my homemade auger rack. It's 5 years old and still workking like new. I travel down the road with the auger in the rack and it stays there solid as a rock. I use 3 bungy straps to hold the auger in place. One over the shaft buy the end of the auger, one around the power head by the shaft connection and one by the handle so the auger will not turn so any gas could leak out of the tank if it turned upside down. In this photo, is the end that holds the auger and not the power head. I used a flat piece of metal and then welded the 1x3 tubing to the plate. Then I cut a 12" piece of PVC pipe in half and connected that to the tubing. The flat plate is held to the wheeler rack by u bolts. Here is the power head end of things. Again, a flat piece of metal with a piece of tubing with 2 small pieces of metal rod with some smaller hose that slides over the rods. The auger sets on this piece right where the auger shaft and the power head connect. That way with the rubber hose, there is no metal to meatl to wear on the auger. Eelpout08
Here is what i came up with- Sorry the pics aren't that great. The base is made out of 1x2 steel tube. I welded on rod couplers for the 'cradles' to thread into. The cradles are 3/8" bolts with the heads cut off and 5/16" rod bent in a U shape welded where the head of the bolt was. They are covered with heat-shrink tubing and plasti-dip. This cradle has an extra bend in it so the auger sets in it and then it slides over the coupler on the auger shaft. The original idea was so it could be mounted on the garage wall during the off season to store the auger, but i haven't ever taken it off the wheeler. a shotgun or rifle also fits in there pretty well. There is a peice of neoprene/foam gasket so the motor doesn't hit right on the metal. This is made for a Strikemaster, the double bent cradle may have to be modified for other brands. I have made a couple of these now and the auger stays put quite nicely. When i load the wheeler on the trailer i put a bungee on the cutting end of the auger to make sure it doesnt bounce around. The original plan was to rig up an over-center clamp to hold the auger without messing with bungees but i never got that far.

firemedic5586
Put me down for the Otter set up. Quick, fast, and sense it doesnt mount on your racks per say it leaves you with lots of room for other stuff.
BoxMN
Wow, that looks great firemedic!I just got atv, and the guy I bought from just dropped off a Ryan's Yoke setup he had, but never mounted. I put it on the front rack in about 10 minutes, and it is solid and works great. It does take some rack space and you need to bungie or ratchet strap it down, but works pretty good. I recommend it to anyone who would want the auger up front. I have a rod bag in front of it, and still space behind it for more stuff, but nothing big.
