  1. Anything special that needs to be done if I would like to replace regualr injection oil with synthetic? I have a 1995 75 hp 3 cylinder merc.
  2. Smoked a whole brisket and marinated/rubbed with porketta seasoning. Brisket was in the porketta seasoning for three days before smoking. Fabulous. Sorry no pics. Give it a try

  4. Supposedly this is the KFC batter recipe "Warning....I am just sharing! Save to you wall ASAP as I will never post again. KFC Original Recipe Chicken ...... HMMMMMM 11 Herbs and spices...... Enjoy. 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces 3 beaten eggs 4 tablespoons oil For the coating 2 cups flour 4 teaspoons paprika 2 1/2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning 1 teaspoon thyme 1 teaspoon oregano 1 teaspoon tarragon 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt 1/2 teaspoon onion salt 1/2 teaspoon celery salt *optional add keptchup to mix Directions: 1. Sift together all the coating ingredients and place in a clean plastic bag. Coat each chicken piece first with the beaten egg, then with the flour mixture in the bag. Make sure you coat each piece completely with the flour. 2. Heat the oil in a skillet. Brown the chicken in oil slowly, uncovered. Once browned, cover the skillet and keeping frying on a very gentle heat until the chicken is fully cooked. Place on paper towels to drain out the excess oil.
  5. Turned out great. Made the au jus recipe belwo and that rally added to the meal. Did the 450 degrees for an hour. Shut it off and left for 3.5 hrs. Back on at 370 for 10 minutes. We like it more on the medium rare to medium side. Came out perfect.
  6. I am doing a large prime rib for Christmas. Would it be wise to cut it in two befoire cooking or leave whole. 9.5#

  8. Decided to do a full turkey spatchcocked for Thanksgiving. 13 lbs Took 1 1/2 hours. Turned out very good.
  9. I am thinking about spatchcocking two turkey breasts on the grill for Thanksgiving. I've spatchcocked chicken and it turned out great. Anybody done a turkey breast. 6-7 lber I would imagine.

  12. My hunting buddy's new pup just got hit on the road on Friday night. Got out of the kennel somehow. Anyway he is looking for a started dog. He is an avid duck hunter and likes to pheasant hunt. His dogs are with him most of the time either fishing or hunting or just hanging out on his rural property. He is a lab guy. Any information on locating a started lab would be appreciated.
