2k1stang
This is shaping up to be an interesting end of the season for the Vikings, even though it's for the wrong reason. I don't feel like looking for the right place to pose this question, but why does nobody link to the actual articles here? Credit is due where credit is due, it's not like you guys wrote the articles or host the site, these other guys (ESPN, FSN, etc.) do. They deserve the HSOforum hits. Copying and pasting an entire article takes away from them. Just saying.
IamZombie
This win kinda screws things up as far as a pick goes.
Scott K
The Vikings are so bad, they messed up a loss
LMITOUT
If anyone was unclear of the defintion of 'failure of epic proportions' , that performance by the Vikings was it.Leslie and the entire staff should have been fired before they got off the field.I would have to assume that the happiest person on the planet today is Andrew Luck, assured that he will not have to play in this factory of sadness known as the state of Minnesota. zepman
Didn't see a single snap today...much like the whole season. I can't believe the Vikes actually went on the road...on GRASS...and won the game. It is/was a meaningless game and the Vikes are WAY worse off for winning this one. No suprise there, I guess. AP is done...explosiveness gone with the knee...not to mention next year. It's gonna be a long, long time before the Vikes are contenders again.Ponder the guy...I don't think so. Frazier the guy...I don't think so. Spielman and Co. the guy...I know better. Start over, please. Just gut the roster now and start clean. Spielman and Frazier HAVE to be the 1st to go! james_walleye
LMIT what world do you live in where you think any NFL team is going to tank a game for a better draft pick. The players on there field are completing there resume for the season and laying down isnt probably on most peoples minds when they dont know if being on the team is even an option for them next season. It certainly wasnt a surprise to me that they won, i picked them in my confidence point league. Washington is terrible to. Dont get me wrong, i would have rather seen them lose to keep that slim hope alive for the 1st pick, but its so unrealistic to think any team is going to tank. If that was realistic the colts have screwed up things even worse. The only thing that changed today is the vikings will end up with the 3rd pick rather than the 2nd. Inthehollow
I would like to see them win the next one to. Remember the number one pic rarely ever works out. I do not know what needs to change but there is not that much removed from a league wining team that washed up old QB mite of had a little magic. soldoncass
There are some FANS? on here that should be gutted/start over.....however the team has a lot of good players. A few of the right pieces/players, and we can be dangerous. This AP injury will shift the draft focus some though. We will find out a lot about Caleb King, now.....will they put him on active?. If not, they will look at draft/ FA...and we'll know what they think about King's potential/ work habits. I don't expect Booker back, so there is definitely oportunity there. Snag
I like Ponder, but he will need some receivers and an O line. Webb can make plays without both, but would need a great defense for his bad games which would be similar to Tebow. I think we have a top 5 pick guaranteed. Pick the best player depending on who the starter will be. Defense for Webb or offense for Ponder. I think Toby is a starter in this league. Scott M
I would rather have seen them lose. At these point they might as well beat the Bears next week so they don't tie Steckel for worst team ever.Too bad it cost them AD

gregg52
man i dunno i think you have to look at web what ever it is..he seems to make the whole team betteri know he has had a few bad games last yr but so has ponder...i'm not say ponder is bad but i sure think at this point you have to look at web some guys just have that leadership built in i thinkhe's like having 12 men on the field

james_walleye
Tell us the story again about how you expected the coaches and players should have tried to lose. IALTO.
Ybone
Why on earth would anyone want their team to try and lose. For one thing it would destroy the integrity of the sport and for another I'm pretty sure it's illegal. Who would want to follow a sport where the worst teams try to lose so they can get better draft choices?
Born2Fish
While I might of wanted them to lose on Saturday, I loved watching them win. Forget the draft, just try and salvage the last two games.
bucketmouth64
This will be an interesting off season. Now that we have no chance(that's what I heard) at getting Luck and with the win I wonder if we can even get Kalil.
reinhard1
i for one dont want the Vike's to loose any games, and i dont think the Vike's feel any different. in that theory of wanting to loose, why not just hope the team of your choice wins no games at all and get the no. one draft pick. so now the draft is again interesting for those who follow it closly. Peterson is out, may come back at some point but at what performance level. i realy pray for the best for Peterson for he puts 100 percent effort every game. good luck. FISHINGURU
No Vikings fans wanted to lose games until there was absolutely no chance in making the playoffs. What's the point in playing the best RB in football in a meaningless game when he's already injured?
gregg52
WINNING!!!!!!!Remember thats what charlie said!!!take his advice.....lolit called sportmanship!!!!!!
reinhard1
i think Peterson WANTED to play, as he alway does. this guy does not like to be taken out of plays let alone whole games. it would be a stretch to say all the Viking fans wanted to loose the last few games. we have a high draft choice anyway you look at it. they may draft down and there are free agents out there as well. there are rookies there who want to play next year and some veterans there that want to have some good performances because they know they wont be on this team next year and may be picked up somewhere else. good luck. gopher_nation
Any Vikings fan who thinks the players would or should try to lose is a complete [PoorWordUsage], plain and simple. 20 or so players and coaches on the current roster will not be here next year and need to prove they belong in the league, think they will tank it so their former team gets a good pick, doubt it. Think a 13 year veteran is going to allow a team to try to lose in the last few games of his career, doubt it. Anyone who has played sports knows losing sucks. Try to lose, hahaha, "Adrian, we suck so you are going to sit out, ok?" hahaha.
