Propane refill by the pound

Are there any places on the west side of Minneapolis that refill propane by the pound? Any Co-ops? I have a couple of tanks that I would like to top off before ice fishing.

Most uhauls will fill by the pound. I take my little 10 lber there as anywhere else charges the same as a 20 lber.

Little Bighorn in Coon Rapids charges only for what they put in there. i was surprised yesterday when i drove by a BP gas station on Hansen and Northdale blvd in Coon Rapids as they had a big sign that said 20lb propane filled $10.99. most places charge a flat rate regardless of how much they put in {gas stations} but this one was reasonable. the Little Bighorn is just a block down the street or so so that might be why they marked theirs down. good luck.

Little Bighorn has $2 off coupons in the Anoka Shopper, boys. Usually less than $10 to fill a 20-pounder if I remember right.

For any eartern living folks, Mike's LP in Maplewood (on Frost) fills by the pound, and for a full 20#s is about $3 less than most places.

I just called and they (LB) said $17.68 to fill an empty,

but they will fill a partial by weight and charge accordingly.

So, $10.99 sounds pretty good for an empty for now.

Not gonna argue there Last time I fill one was two years ago. I would suspect LB would fill for the same price as the BP place, too. Should see if BP takes competitor's coupons, like what's been going on around that area for gas

Mac, that would be nice if I could find a place that would "top off" a tank. Everyone I have ever had fill a half empty tank has told me if they have to come out to hook it up and fill it, it's full price.

Leech, go to Little Bighorn in Coon Rapids on Northdale Blvd. they top off your tank and charge you only for what they put in. good luck.
