Mossberg 695 bolt action 12 gauge, Leupold Rifleman 3-9X, 2 3/4 Barnes Expander sabots in 3/4 oz loads. It'll knock down a barn at up to 200 yards. smile

Older I get, more I miss my 1940s Savage Model 99 in .300 Savage. Brass counter, full buckhorn sights. It spent a lot of time in my saddle scabbard back in the day. frown

Savage 212 with a Nikon 3X9 & Federal 3" Barnes Expander tipped slugs. It does a number on them.

Boy will be sitting with me for the first time using 870 Youth model with a rifled slug barrel & Hornady 2 3/4" 20 gauge slugs. Unless it's a monster he'll be doing most of the shooting.

I like it, just got it replacing the 210 I purchased last year, but returned when the bolt locked up on me. I'm assuming it'll shoot about the same, but can't take it the range until tomorrow or Friday. The 210 liked those Federals much better than it like Hornadys or Remingtons, so I'm going with that. It's the same gun, just has a removable magazine & the accutrigger.

Ya its a Lead Sled Plus. I just bought it at Gander in Mankato. They are originally $130.00 but on sale for $99.00 with a mail in rebate. They definitely are the ticket for sighting in. With the two 30 lb scale weights on it you get zero recoil to your shoulder. Not sure how I ever sighted in without one.
