Throw a flasher down that whole and you'll be all set!

Tried that grin was only 14 ft deep and the angle was too wide on the transducer; it was marking all the supports, cross bracing, and posts and did not really allow for it to used. Oh well, the fish were just stacked and was not too hard fishing the "old fashioned way" smile

Looks to me that the hole is for exactly for what he's doing! Too cool! That's a deep dock setup...14'.

I think I'd set up a porty over it and then look at em look.

setting up a porty over it would be a good way to block the rain if it was raining out.

OIE!!!!! Next time i have a 85 year old that had a stroke and lost the use of much of one hand, who has never used a smartphone camera, in a lighthearted thread, I will be sure to make him get better picture of the dock behind the dock the photo will be taken on as well as try to provide better documentation of the depth I am fishing at grin

If you "observe" a little closer, you will see the blue foam panels under the dock. Once the dock brackets are disconnected from the leveling posts, the docks are literally floated in and the wheel that you see sticking out of the water will be....well....umm.....a wheel.....for putting in, taking out, and moving around on land. Suppose i should not mention that those fish were 13 inches either shocked

Very cool and nice crappies! I did something very similar at a public fishing pier last fall. I walked out there with my a net, ice fishing pole and my flasher. The people that were on the dock already gave me some wierd looks but I went a head and did it anyway. Right away i started catching fish. Caught alot of nice crappies a few like yours but most were smaller. Then out of no where i caught four 14 to 16inch walleyes. While this was going on the other people on the dock didn't catch a single fish and ended up going home skunked.

Ok lighthearted thread lol, so maybe ive played one to many of the whats the difference in the photo games in my day. Those are nice crappies and "maybe" just maybe there was a tinge of jealousy of someones great time. No insult intended. Apology given!

Its all good, no apology needed, i was smiling the whole time posting that. Not much can crash my party right now, weather is getting colder, the fish are suicidal, and was just reading the thread about homemade canadian bacon....life is good smile
