Taking the duck boat out for the first time? This happens to me every year, deer mice love to nest in the sytrofoam under the seats. They usually take a bath or meet their maker after meeting the dog.

nope had it out a few times this summer. boatshed is infested with mice I guess. Must have been the ride of his life, 70 MPH down the highway, onto the lake, then having a generator running right next to him

Had one pop out of a storage comparment one time while I was on the lake. My wife was onboard. Didn't want to permanently ruin fishing for her, so as the mouse went to the bow deck to investigate, I gave him a little motivation to go swimming. Felt a pang of guilt for about 0.5 seconds, and then thought he would make a good meal for a pike.

craziest thing i have ever had in my boat was a couple of water moccasins [i think thats what they're called] down in Table Rock Resevoir in Arkansas. the owner of the resort we were staying at told us about those snakes, and that they sometimes crawl in their boats overnight. so i was prepared for them to be there. i went and got a rake and made some noise near them and they slid in the water. the tarantula i seen walking down to the docks startled me more than the snakes. man those things are big. good luck.

We had an elderly gentleman from Indiana in the cabin next to us at a resort in northern Minnesota years ago. First day he was there he got into his boat, I heard him scream and he came flying out, great big old snake curled up on the floor right next to his seat. Don't know what it was, but don't want to see another one. Third day he was there a storm came up and he had tied his boat up to the dock bow into the shore, next morning we went out there and his boat had sunk from the waves washing over the stern in the middle of the night. His last day there I mentioned to him about getting stopped in Wadena for a fish check and how they had gone through my whole boat and truck, he got this kinda pale look on his face and said "I think I should stop fishing Minnesota" Made my whole vacation.
