polarsusd81
I am heading down to the concert on Saturday with my fiance. It is looking like rain is a good possibility, but that wont stop us. I told her to embrace it and wear a white t-shirt with no bra, but that just yielded me "the look". We have general admission field tickets. I am not a huge U2 fan, but they were one of several bands on my concert life list.Might pack some frog toggs.
bobbymalone
They had a pre-sale for tickets for students years ago for the original date, unfort I already graduated, but my wife was still enrolled. We got some nice seats and uhh, quite the deal on them too. I'm with you - not a diehard fan, especially with the newer stuff. I looked to see how much we could get out of our tickets, but quickly closed the browser window when I realized we were sitting on a fortune. I think I would kick myself in the arse if I gave them up to make a quick buck... or several hundred bucks Last week U2 was in StL and on the news while they were talking about the hotter than hades weather there, they mentioned that the gates opened for general admission 12 hours before the concert. Yikes and screw that. Good luck out there. Maybe I'll see you - I'll definitely be looking for the white shirt and no bra

Wire 7. Sunday Bloody Sunday 8. The Electric Co. 9. A Sort of Homecoming 10. Bad 11. October 12. New Year's Day 13. Pride (In The Name Of Love) Encore: 14. Knockin' On Heaven's Door 15. But Sunday Bloody Sunday still ranks as one of the most enjoyable songs I've ever experienced live. For those that are going, have a great time! pikedreams
Sorry, just too far to the left for me. I'm not going to support the socialist green party. If you want to, be my guest.
MinnesnowtaWild
LOL at that last comment. The show was freakin' AMAZING. So glad I was able to go. The pouring rain and thunderstorms just added to the show. Bono rocks.
RumRiverRat
Bono is a Socialist Lunatic.Musicians should focus on music and stay out of politics.
nofishfisherman
My wife and I bought last minute tickets off of stub hub. Worth every penny. It was a great show.I guess I don't see what's wrong with an influential rock star trying to use his fame and money to make a difference in the world. If you like famine and AIDs in africa then you probably hate Bono.

VOLUNTARY funds, not those delivered at the point of the state's guns.

bobbymalone
yeah they put on a great show. and the rain didn't slow them down a bit. not sure how Bono's anti poverty and hunger campaigns and support of democracy and freedom of speech across the world is such a terrible thing. Moderately annoying, yes, but I don't see the argument on it being so terrible or the socialist maniac stuff. It's unfortunate that many associate global issues as the terrible domain of those nasty liberals.Global issues aside, how many bands can put 60k people in a stadium? There's a reason for that. Again, it was a great show. Good mix of the newer stuff with almost all of the popular classics mixed in.
