So, you want to hunt next to me?

I know this has been beaten to death, but throw out.

Who was there first

Public or Private.

Good Sign bad Sign

Wind direction

Tons of land

Everything

Is there a new breed of "hunter" and I use that term loosely; that likes setting up near another?

I just dont get it???

Went duck hunting once. About a 5 acre pond with lots of cattails. There were about a half-dozen hunters scattered around the perimeter but they did well to keep distance from one another. The pond was located in a low area so there was a ridge around the perimeter. Ducks started coming in and the next thing we know is there's a couple idiots on the ridge shooting at them. The ducks will still way out of their range but it did a great job of educating them to stay away from the pond. We figured they were either anti-hunters or just plain brainless wonders. Lucky they didn't get shot by those of us in the valley. Some people just have no sense of fair play, respect, consideration, or decency.

Exactly like fishing, they see a group and there must be fish there.

Deer hunting is no different, some that don't/can't put in the scouting time see a tree stand/ground blind and figure there must be deer there and thats where they are sitting. I am talking about mostly private land. Some people that are either just a weekend hunter or a tresspasser.

I have went to do what i use to do when I fished during the summer (I learned from here)

Fishing=toss out a buoy where you are not fishing.

Hunting=hand a portable or two in "good sight" of people that do not want to scout. Amazing how individuals hunt near them. Keeps them away from the deep woods..

I try to do everything possible to make sure this doesn't happen to me, its been working great for years now. Very few people willing to go a mile from their vehicle. A canoe or waders are also great options to avoid the crowds.

Yep. It's been beaten to death. Not sure beating it more will answer any questions.

Yes, just like fishing, others will be drawn to fellow anglers (or hunters) when they don't know where else to go, or what else to do.

Funny thing is, if you know your game you can often be in the "spot on the spot" and catch fish, or bag game, while others around you draw a blank.
