Suggestions for Bachelor's Party

Looking for suggestions on a good place to go for a Bachelor's Party in mid-July. Any resorts recommended? We are pretty much open to anything. Would like to do some fishing and drinking.

Stay in Isle, South of Mille Lacs. There is a Golf COurse close by, A bowling alley in Isle, An excelent Mens club in Boch (Fat Jacks Caberet), and of course several launches nearby that can take you out on Mille Lacs for some perch/walleyes.

That should cover your fishing, drinking, and women!

I've never done it, but I've always thought it would be fun to get a house boat on Rainy or Lake of the Woods for a BP. Your group would have to be pretty into fishing and drinking though, as it would probably take golf or more adult entertainment out of the picture.

Wigwam resort on the LOTW would be a great resort to take care of those prerequisets!!

Thanks guys. I should mention that over half will be coming from ND, the rest from the cities so somewhere in between would be ideal.

Can't hardly beat a Mille Lacs launch for your purposes and it won't break the bank either if price is of any concern to you.

check out the Hunting Shack south of Isle....they have a shooting range to waste the day and it is located 10 minutes south of Mille Lacs so you have access to fishing, golfing, and a short roadtrip to Bock and dancing ladies.....if you are into that sort of thing......LOL.....we did this for my bachelor party and it was a great time...

Did this for my brother's bachelor party in VNP. 1 houseboat and 2 fishing boats. It was a great time. Probably cheaper than the strip clubs and golf.

Friends are at Izaty's this weekend for bachelor party. Golfing and your could bring a boat or go out on a charter launch.

I've been to a few at Mille Lacs. Izaty's worked well for us. Rented a house and played some golf. Also went to another and stayed at the casino. We rented a coach bus from a bus company in Milaca and went around the whole lake and hit all the bars, then off to Bock. The bus was a great idea. We were allowed to bring coolers and it had a bathroom. Reasonably priced when splitting the cost between the group. Was also nice not having to worry about anyone drinking and driving.

My vote would be for Izaty's. I've been there several times and never disappointed. I'll be there in a few weeks again. Good luck.

I think it's called Mille Lacs Golf Resort. We had my brothers bachelor party there, they were always there when we needed somthing, and they left us alone, no security guards, nobody telling us to keep quiet, they just let us party. Plus the lake is right across the street the casino is down the road, the blue goose is also not far away, oh yah, their golf course was in great shape when we were there. Great place, just my two cents.

I'd second the houseboat on Rainy. resorts around the Walker area would also be good. Plenty to do fishing, golf, barhopping, ect.

Fishermens wharf has a fish/party launch that people really have a blast on. I know many bachelor partys that have gone out w them. They have huge speakers, grill, beer, the whole 9 yards. Bring your IPOD to play the music of your choice.... They always have a blast from what I've seen/heard. Also about 5 mins out of Isle for reasons stated above ^

I had a blast doing my bachelor party on a launch at Mille Lacs. Everyone got walleyes, in the middle of August no less. Lots of good suggestions above.

16 of us rented a house on Mille Lacs for 2 nights near Isle and spent Saturday on a charter...good times! It was $80 total/guy for the entire weekend minus food and booze.

For my bachelor party About 12 of us camped on an island for the weekend, fished, cooked steak, drank and had a bow and arrow making contest. Who ever could fashion the best bow and arrow from materials found only on the island, and launch an arrow farthest got the biggest steak for dinner and didn't have to clean up the rest of the weekend. Had a blast! Nothing better than great freinds, a cold beer, fresh fish, and the isolation of a wilderness island.
