When the L.A. Vikings leave how much will it cost the state for a new stadium? What will we name the new team , the Mn. wild and crazies? It will be built, when and who pays what is a ? mark yet. Everyone said the stars wouldnt leave, but they did ,everyone said we didnt need them, hockey is still here, nice arena. Should be the North Stars! The T wolves are leaving and going to N.O etc. etc. The Vikes will leave and if they do please dont beg for another football team MN, I dont think I could watch the MN wild and crazies!

The Wolves are leaving? That one is news to me. Being that their arena is fairly new and their owner lives in Mankato I see that as a long shot unless he decides to sell. If the stadiums are financed over 40 years as is proposed but yet their useful life is 20, then we have a fairly large problem and it is with the sports franchises, not the legislatures.

The Wolves were very, very close to leaving to New Orleans in the mid 90's. The newspapers had it as a done deal. If I remember right Stern stopped it. This was right before Glen Taylor purchased the team. That's what he's referring to. They are stuck here for at least another 15 yrs.

Are the Wolves stuck here or are we stuck with them? smile

David Con can turn this franchise around. For the People who think we're out of the Lebron James sweep-stakes ...I say tune into the press conference Thurs and then get back to me!

Go Wulves!

Wolves? What Wolves? Timber Wolves that are federally protected from harvesting or killing by the public? Are they on display at the Target Ceneter? I thought the Target Center only housed concerts?

Oh wait! That is right. wink When the circus comes to town the Target Center is where the circus is hosted. The Wolves you guys are talking about must be in the circus???

and without 2 of the 3,, MN would likely only have Vikes left. A cold Omaha.

You have already made this argument. Cold Omaha my foot. Count them, we have 4 major professional sports - Twins, Vikes, Wild, Twolves. The loss of one that plays 10 days a year will have little impact.

Just remember, the Vikings are just another two hour TV show thats on for sixteen weeks. Kind of like 24 or Survivor or American Idol. It exist for entertainment and to sell ad spots. Nothing more. When the show is over, turn off the TV or change the channel. If the Vikes leave, there will always be football to watch. It's not that big a deal. Iwas crushed when I heard that this was 24's last season, but hey, I'll get over it.

That sill leaves 60% to us, more than a whopping $500,000,000.

I could use a new pull barn to work out of. you mind flipping for 40% of that. Of course it has to have all the amenities such as a wet bar, big screen TV and theater seats so my future employees have a comfortable place to watch the Vikings game. grin Oh, I guess a place for my machinery also.

Promise to pay my employees a comfortable wage just above the minimum wage.

Not a bad idea but I do not want to dump my habitat license plate to support a football franchise. I like the habitat a lot more than the Vikings and a boat on a lake with a bobber for the letter O looks better than a purple plate. wink

How many games do the vikes have left at the dome? Should we have to pay-no, to keep them we will have to pay something. I beleave even the cheeseheads would hate to see the vikes leave Mn.
