My wife bought some jewelry from an online well known jewelry company, so she thought. Anyhow, the company she thought she was ordering from is a local US company, that ships worldwide. She ordered the stuff, then when she got shipping info, it said it was being shipped from China. When my wife informed me it was being shipped from China, I was curious right away. I had my wife call the main company, they informed her they were a fraud, and she was to contact her credit card company, and cancel payment, she did, and the credit card company said it would take 14 days to get a refund. The main company, also took the web site address. During this time, my wife tried contacting the fraud company by email, to tell them she has canceled payment, and why. On the HSOforum it says it takes approx. 5 days to get a response, and they didnt list any phone number to call. Well today the shipment showed up, we still havent gotten a response from the fraud company. So we went into the fraud HSOforum, and they since have changed things up on the site, it doesnt look anything like it did when she placed the order. Before it had all of the main companies Logos, and name even with copyright logos on it.
Anyhow, to make a long story short, what do I do with the imitation jewelry now? The fraud company hasnt contacted me yet, I dont want to pay to have it shipped back, I havent opened the package yet, although I am curious to see what the contents look like, and would like to bring it to a jeweler to have it inspected. How long do I need to sit on it, before I should open it?
I just figured that it is easy enough to just get a 3 bank so when the boat is not in use I can keep all 3 batteries charged. I have not bough a charger yet, maybe I will give it some more thought.
Edit: After thinking this over, with the size, weight, and heat output of the charger (as well as the cost) I think it makes sense to just
buy a 2 bank charger, I have a smaller charger i can use on the starting battery when the boat is sitting at home. Forgive me, for i am a retired engineer and I have to obsess over everything...
Congrats on the motor! I think you’ll like it.
I can’t say much on the charger location but I’ve seen them under the lid in back compartments and under center rod lockers. 160 degrees is more than I expected to hear.
Curious why you’re opting for a 3 bank charger with a 24V trolling motor. Unless you don’t feel you be running you big motor enough to keep that battery up as well?
I did buy an Minnkota Ulterra, thanks for the recommendations. I had a bunch of Cabela"s bucks saved up, which helped. Now i need to
get an onboard battery charger. Where do you guys mount these things in your boat? The manufacturer I am looking at {Noco genius)
says tht their 3-bank charger will run at 160 degrees, seems like a lot of heat in an enclosed compartment? Thanks for any input on this.
Wasn't terrible at a state park beach. Antelope island maybe. I wouldn't recommend it as a beach destination tho. Figured I was there, I'm getting in it.
