Well the time is here, I am glad it ended up being a good day for outdoor baseball. Go Twins!!

99.9 percent of the time it is a good day for baseball outside.

I expect around as many weather related cancellations as we would have had last year if the Twins had played outside!

And that is ZERO we would had no weather related cancelations based on last years weather.

Go Twins!

Tried to find a scalper to sell me a ticket today for less than $200 bucks. I didnt have any luck at that. But it was a great day for Minnesota baseball, and Target Field is a great fit (and addition) to Minneapolis.

I cant wait for many more years of baseball to be played here. I look forward to the Joe Mauer Jersey Retirement Ceremony.

I was in the bleacher seats yesterday. cool Been there a couple times already-open house and the first exhibition game, but man, what an awesome new park we've got. Everyone was wide eyed and grinning gawking around at the beautiful new digs. Fly over-fireworks-sunshine, all great things you'd never see at the dome.

The only real problem I had? I believed the weatherman and had a backpack full of jackets and raingear and umbrellas, when all I needed was sunscreen! smile

Going again Tomorrow. Can't wait.

Wow. Had a great time. Will post up some pics this afternoon. We got in shortly after gates opened at noon and toured up until just before opening ceremonies. Still lots left to see.

Nit picking detractors: Lines were pretty bad but I think the new stadium is convincing people to open up their wallets a little more freely. Should get better. Wish they had staggered the seats in the main level to give even better sightlines. Main scoreboard stats were slow to come up. Batter usually had at least one pitch before his previous at bats were listed. Some of the videos were pretty choppy. Upper levels seem pretty steep. Was up under the canopy to take some pics and I got a little woozy. Hope the beer stand closest to your seats has your flavor. There are plenty of them but most only pour one brand.

I was there for the open house and will be there for the game on Saturday. One thing I noticed with my parent's seats (season tix) was that you have no scoreboard to look at. Obviously, the game is what you should be looking at, but it would be nice to see the replays and such...

Plus, now how will I know if I'm on the Kiss Cam!!! wink

Just a couple more quick thoughts.

The Red Sox home run/foul ball replay early on. Not one replay on the highly touted scoreboard.

Tony O's sandwhich is worth the $9 price. Very interesting smoked flavor.

I think the outdoor stadium is already attracting more tight t-shirts with the "Twins" logo proudly displayed if you catch my drift. Can't wait for the first 90 degree day. My oh my.

It's the same as hockey, you're not going to see a reviewable goal on the scoreboard...that's an advantage of staying home and watch it, you get to see replay after replay at different angles. I would much rather be at the games though.

i would agree on the replay, but man, theres something about being at the game!

Yeah I think just about everyone would rather take a seat at the game than seeing 3 or 4 replays on TV at home.

I also think most of us would rather be at the game looking at those tight Twins t-shirts over a replay anyday! smile

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
