I bought a bunch of new stuff this winter and ended up with a combo I don't know what to use it for. It is a 6'6" shimano Compre Med fast and a Revo Premier. It is a lil short for pitchin but thats what im in need of. Anybody pitch with a 6'6" med. Im thinkin maybe a finess jig or light flippin craws. Any insight would be appreciated. This is what happens when you take advantage of deals with no thought of what to do with em!!

You can use that rod for a number of things: weightless plastics, shaky heads, 1/4oz or less texas rigs and jigs, lipless cranks, topwaters, etc.

I dont think you could double this rod as a pitching rod unless you are pitching finesse baits in open water with no cover.

To light for pitching/flipping, not to short. I use a 6"6" rod (heavy) for pitching docks, so it's not the lenght, just the weight. But you certainly can use it for cranks, topwater, senko or a jerk bait both hard and soft. It's a little short for me for a T-rig. Might make a good open water swim jig rod.

I'd say it would excel at jerkbaits and topwater...but wouldn't be bad for any of the other suggestions either.

On a side note...I wasn't a huge fan of my Premier for pitching light baits. It seems with the magnetic control all the way off there is still some resistance and you don't get great pitches.
