I hope to pick up a couple rod/reel combos(Like I need more)..

Will look to see what crazy deals any of the stores have and stock up as needed.. Other than that I really dont have much of a shopping list.

How do you get in free? there seems to be a promo every year and hoop you have to jump through to get into it free.

Is there a lot of tackle there this year? I'll be out Friday night. Looking at electronics and to bolster my tackle collection. Probably won't buy any new rod/reels, at least to start off the season.

Not aware of any for sure. Just wishful thinking. Had 3 things I was looking for in particular for a change, found 1 out of 3 so not bad.

There is a Nitro dealer there with a few boats. Simply fishing marine has there new Legend down there. (Looks awesome!) As far as rods and reels go I think you can get it done for sure. Some pretty cool new stuff to be had, Lamiglas, Abu, TFO rods,etc.

I am looking for the EZ Fill. Not sure if that is the exact name, but it is a product that looks similar to a yard sprayer for fruit trees that is used to fill lower units with grease. It states that one can fill the lower unit in less than a minute and not get it on your hands.

Other than that I am open to impulse buying.

I didnt get a chance to walk around at all last night. Just worked... Ok crowd for a Wednesday. I did get to work alongside Patrick Sebile. wow, guy has a head full of lure design and information. The new Soft swimmer may be my go to bait this spring. The soft weights you add to the hook can be moved around and really change its action.. on a retrieve and if you kill it, it has the most realistic dying minnow I have seen yet.. I too am really liking the look of the Spin Shad. I can see a few of them in my tackle box this year as well.

FINALLY got to hold the new Cumulus(even got to hold the one I will be taking home with me)...Cant wait to string it up and hit the water!!!

Since Bass Pro Shops bought out Crystal Pierz I would guess that there would be a lot more Trackers and Nitro's there than in year's past....

I was able to get down there today. Wasn't planning on buying anything but a guy at Thorne Bros offered me a Shimano Cumara Reaction for 30% off and I couldn't resist. I saved nearly $70. If you ask around and do some bargaining you will find some great deals.

I saw Abu Revo SX's for $150, which isn't anything special, but Reed's and Joe's were both giving a free Vendetta rod with the reel. Plus the mail-in Wiley X glasses... and a Revo shirt at the show. Really really tough to pass that up.
