Start or Sit?

2nd round of the playoffs, winner of this matchup goes to the championship. I got Brees who I've started all year. I have Shaub on my bench. NO plays DAL and NO has been having some close calls the last few weeks, so I can definetly see DAL handing them their first loss. Do I stick with Brees or start Shaub against STL???

What do you think? I think only a bonehead would sit Brees but that HOU\STL matchup looks too good.

Brees, because the Texans should not be passing it much. I'm sure that if they get the running game going and they probably will why would they pass a bunch? The Rams have almost no life left in them, and you know that the texans will win.

Brees. The best thing that can happen is for Dallas to give the saints a game. The last 2 weeks have been squeakers for the saints and Brees has passed for over 700 yards and 5 TDs in these 2 games. I don't know how you could ever sit him.

I disagree with the Texans not passing much with Slaton out and Moats really stinking it up last week, but I wouldn't bench Brees over it.

I would start Brees. They seem to meet the challenge of their opponents, so Brees should have a pretty good game, especially at home.

My problem is I have Manning and Addai so hopefully they play whole games. It would be nice to have Michael Turner healthy or my 1st place during the season won't mean a thing.

Thanks guys. Sometimes I can think too much into it. Brees it is. The team I'm going up against has 2 of the top 5 RB's (MJD and C. Johnson) so I'm a little stressed. All I got to do is squeak by him and I'm in the money.

Well did you play Brees or go with your gut? I learned earlier you gotta go with your gut. I took advice of FMers and lost because of it, no offense to anyone but it hurts more losing knowing you could have won had you played the way you were thinking.

Ive got Payton and Eli. Its going to be tough to bench Payton but I think Eli is going to get my nod to start next week since I know he'll start and play the whole game. We will keep an eye on things though. Hopefully Turner heels up and plays so I can bench Addai, too.

Started Brees. Although Shaub scored 4 more points in our leauge than Brees did, it did not matter since I lost by 50 points. None of my team showed up this week. Oh well. I think I got lucky most of the season anyway and did end up winning my division so it's not a total loss.

I agree you got to go with your gut sometimes but also sometimes it helps to have a second opinoin.

I guess you get what you pay for huh?

Remember when asking these questions, you have no idea who is answering them. They could be a wonderful football mind or a rookie.

That might be true, but just because you are paying for advice doesn't always mean its better. A site I belong to had some classic "overthinking" predicted this week... Chris Jennings with 110 total yds and a TD and Arian Foster with about the same... There is a reason it is called "Fantasy Football" because none of us really know.....

I agree.

Like I said not bashing anyone here for their input afterall I did ask the question. I think when I asked I was probably looking for someone to reassure me but they said the opposite and I went with it oh well...

Didn't think you were. It's just that I hear it all the time. I visit a couple FF boards and you'll see people come on and biatch if they didn't get the correct advice.

I was just pointing out the buyer beware.

and remember this is a fishing HSOforum not a FF HSOforum. If you are interested in a really good FF site drop me a line. I know its a little late in the season but its a good resource for next year. Also keep in mind that its just fantasy if its a toss up ALWAYS go with your gut!
