Go to your primary doctor and ask if they can take a look at it.

Let them know all the details including how it feels.

Any time there was a potential for head trauma you want to have it checked until you are comfortable with what they tell you.

If it don't feel right get it checked out.

Your family and loved ones will thank you.

I hope no professionals are offended by me saying this, but the people at the ER are not the right people to have, checking your ear out. They are definatly the right people to have to save your life though. I would even skip the visit to your primary. See a ear, nose, and throat specialist. Now your insurance may require that you see your primary first for a referel. Also if a doctor is telling you there is nothing there, but you can feel it, then he or she is wrong. One thing that I have learned in school is that when the patient is complaining about something, then there is usually something wrong, unless of course that person is a hypocondriac or is having phantom pain, but that is a total different ball game.

With all that being said it is probally just lymph fluid which is your bodys natural defense against infection, and in normal healthy people it usually drains out. But don't listen to me I'm just a student get it checked out.

Since you were in a recent trauma, lots of variables and guessing is not wise. Ya..get it looked at right off, in case it is blood pooled up in the inner ear or something odd like that. If your balance is also off, something is amiss.

Could be just a simple cold or sinus infection? Wisest thing is get it looked at by a Dr. now so you can see one before the holidays, or it mess's up your holidays because you waited.

The sensation you are feeling could be behind the ear drum. Like other said it could some sort of a fluid build up. I would follow what ever path your insurance requires for you to go see a Ear, Nose and Throat specialist. Even if it is just something that will pass on it's own, peace of mind is worth the trip.

it feels like a combination of water in there and like when a goose gun goes off a foot away. but there are times where it feels completly fine. i will probably get it checked out incase there is dirt or something in there. dont really feel like having ear surgery! The car rolled 3 times and the only thing that was hurt on both me and my buddie was my ear not a scratch or a bruise!

There is a minute amout of fluid contained in your inner ear that assits with balance. If you are feeling lightheaded, off balance or having difficulty with your equalibrium it could be that some of that fluid escaped or was displaced in the accident. It is definately worth getting checked out as it could cause a multitude of things to manifest. Diziness, nausea, motion sickness, loss of coordination or balance and even in severe cases loss of conciousness. Go get the ear checked by a qualified health professional.

I highly highly doubt you will need ear surgery! They will probaly just give you some drops, to help drain everything out. Though if you wait too long it could get worse, then who knows maybe you will need surgery. Right now it sounds fairly minor, you don't want it to get worse.

Thank god for seat belts.

Having been in my fair share of rollovers, two different accidents for a total of 5 side to side and 2 end-over-end, I will not get into a vehical w/o them.

Go to your primary care doc to start. He/She will take a good look and check you out. Most likely just a temp problem but need to rule out any bleeding. If you do have blood in the middle ear then a CT or MRI may be required to rule out a basilar skull fracture or other problems. If you had any loss of conciousness or find any lumps on your skull, then assume you have a concussion. It is highly likely that you did contact something solid with your head or even just shook up your brain in the violent actions of a rollover. New guidelines on concussion have greatly expanded what we now consider likely indicators of a concussion. Start with your family doc becuz you need someone to guide you through the system and that is their job. Hope this helps.
