KMR85
BnS I hope that was sarcasm, otherwise it was the dumbest statement I've ever read on this HSOforum.
waterbound
I think the officer did the correct thing. I saw a video from the officer's dashcam and he thanked AP for pulling over immediately and because of his cooperation he was only going to write him a citation for speeding. A big fat ticket and a 6-month license suspension might not be much to AP, but it's what the law says is the punishment for his actions. LMITOUT
BnS I hope that was sarcasm, otherwise it was the dumbest statement I've ever read on this HSOforum. Please explain. If Chili holds true to his policy of accountability and Peterson was indeed late to the hotel, then he should be benched for the first series or whatever punishment fits that crime in Chili's mind. There should be no special treatment for the better players if Chili want's to retain any credibility with his players, staff, and even the fans. Scott K
I think Chester Taylor can fill in for Ap rather well if needed for a game.
Born2Fish
I don't think it merits a benching, even for the first series. It's something that most to all of us do on occasion. He pulled over immediately and was very polite to the police officer. He did everything you should do in that situation. There was no chase, he wasn't being an arrogant pr***. Seems he accepted that what he did was not a good thing, and he was treated as anyone else would of in that situation.
Born2Fish
I also liked how the officer said, "Good luck tomorrow!"
Big Dave2
I don't understand why any of this should ever have anything to do with a person's job. Will any of you be fired or asked to take part of a day off without pay because you got a speeding ticket? Have none of you ever been a few minutes late for work? LMITOUT
NFL has a code of conduct policy for it's employees (the players). Is excessive speeding worthy of a reprimand by the league office? I doubt it.The question is whether or not Peterson was late for check-in time at the hotel. That should be a violation of team rules if Chili doesn't play favorites, but if he was indeed late I would assume that his punishment would have happened at the Chicago game so who knows. I was referring to his statement about AP should be in jail. I guess I should have quoted that post.
KMR85
I think Chester Taylor can fill in for Ap rather well if needed for a game. He definitely could fill in for a game. He should get more carries the way it is IMO. He did rush for over 1200 yards before AP came into the league.

He wasn't in for the first couple of plays against Chicago was he? Maybe I'm wrong about that but for some reason I got it in my head that Chester was behind Favre on the first couple of plays. Anyone know for sure. Maybe, if I'm right, not starting was his punishment. If I'm wrong I'll just shut up!
PierBridge
1st play of the game was a swing pass to AP.
