Human deer scent

I heard that too and tried it this last weekend bowhunting. I made a ground scrape under branches near a trail on my way back from stand Friday eve and man I had to go. The next morning walking out, there were tracks and a hoof drag mark in the scrape. So it did work in my little test spot.

If I have to go and there is a scrape near by you bet I'm going right in it. Or I will make a mock scrape and do the same thing.

Basically from what I have learned urine is urine and they can't tell the difference between a man and buck. However its probably not a great idea if you had a few too many cocktails the night before.

I agree. My buddy and i got into filming this year. So there are 2 of us in the tree all the time. We hunt from sun up to sun down most days. Especially during the rut. It is inevitable that both of us have to go from time to time. We just go right out of the stand. We have had tons of encounters in which the deer come right up and actually sniff the ground where we urinated. Does not seem to bother them in the least bit. I think sweat is your biggest enemy, by far.

I feel urine is about the same as any other animal. If anything it may just make them curious as to what or who left the scent. I have had deer tracks on my mock scrapes, night time deer. I need to more farther anyway from horse corral, need the deer come earlier to feed.
