DTro
I say who cares, they won the game. That’s all this league is about....win baby.It has nothing to do about “what if’s” and everything to do about “what was”. The team is 6-0 and in a spot that 90% of the league wants to be in right now. How about savoring the moment rather than picking apart every little detail of what could've been. It’s quite obvious that all the hype that has ever been spewed about Favre is entirely true and he could possibly be the best QB to play the game. He has single handedly made everyone on the offense look that much better and In some cases resurrected a receiver from the dead. With anyone else (that we have available) taking snaps, this team is .500 at best.Just think, they could go .500 from here on out and still finish 11-5, that is sweet, and just personally for me that is enough to call the Favre deal a success. Most people probably feel they need to get to the SB, but I don’t feel the same way. Perhaps I’d be disappointed in not winning a playoff game, but understand how hard that is to do in the NFL. All it takes is a bad break here or there and your season is over.In the immortal words of Mike Tice:“Enjoy the Season”
harvey lee
I agree but I would like to see a bit better game with the defense as far as our secondary goes. Then I believe we have a team that could go deep into the play-offs.Yes, they are doing very well and I enjoy watching them win but as soon as we get up against some good passing teams, trouble could abound. The Vikes are having a very good start and I hope this continues. Farve should only get better with his recievers and we will need all the points we can get. Our run defense is awesome and will stay that way as most teams will now pass against us as that is the way we will be beaten.I am not trying to slam the Vikes only stating that we do have a ways to go before we are a elite team. The Giants,New Orleans and maybe the Packers passing game will give the Vikes trouble yet this season.I am enjoying the season but I worry about the better teams out there that could bury the Vikes with their passing game. This is coming from the guy who put a fork in the Twins with a few weeks to go The Packers are an awesome passing team, hardly any worse than the Saints, (who we won't see until the playoffs.) A win is a win is a win... 6-0 and I'm taking Tice's advice.

Perhaps I’d be disappointed in not winning a playoff game, but understand how hard that is to do in the NFL. Well I'm glad, for once, that our coach has a bit more chutzpah on this one. When asked before the game yesterday if he was surprised that Favre had only thrown 2 INTs and that we were 5-0, he replied, "Not at all. I expect my QB to throw 0 INTs, and we expect to go out and win each game." For me, being a fan means watching all the little details and hoping for everything to go well. I know there are different degrees of devotion (all awesome! that's what makes sports in our country great!). Even though some of us like to pick it all apart, you can be sure that we're all ecstatic to be 6-0 as well. This is the first time in Favre's career that he has started the season with that tally! Can't wait to see how we finish!
Big Dave2
I agree with DTRO. At the end of the season, no one will remember how this game was won, only that there is a W in the wins/loss column. You can go back and analyze any successful teams schedule and find games that they should have lost and also find games that they should have won. It just works out that way.As far as I am concerned, the Vikes put themselves in a position to win the game, the other team failed to convert and now it is over. Swimbait2009
You've gotta win the ugly ones, that's for sure! Bad teams can win easy games. Good teams find a way to win the tough ones!

Wadinator
Chilly (or whoever is in charge of the (very) offensive play calling) is still a friggin [PoorWordUsage]. Just like last week, we blast ahead by a few scores, and then its run-run-pass-punt, over and over again until the other team catches up a bit.Except this time the opponent was slightly tougher, and when crunch time came our defense fell apart. We should have beat them by 30 points. Shack
I guess if I had not watched the game and did not see any of the post game recaps, just heard we are 6/0, then I would have been totally thrilled. BUT!!! I watched the game, wrote off the pipe dream of being 6/0 some time in the last four minutes of the game. Walked away from the TV up in my living room with 2 seconds on the clock, saying "Baltimore deserves this win". Walked in my garage to see Baltimore fue-barred up and we won. Yes the win is great, but again I watched the game. This game/fourth quarter was not about just loosing a winning streak. It was pretty much was about our whole season being in jeopardy. I mean Will already gone, Harvin, AP, and who else. The only thing (give it to Farva) was his hale to the Mary's of all Mary's pass. It was true Vikings ball being played IMO Luckily "luck" is on our side this year. Honestly if an NFL fans sights are not set on winning the SB, why be a fan then? More so if you are a Vikings fan
harvey lee
There are games every season when one should have won and should have lost. This is one of the should have lost but luck was on our side.Yes, now 6-0.When we talk who cares, I do as we will need to improve to be a true contender. I cheer as hard as anyone but at times I question we have the team to beat.
fishinphilth
The Viks are the team to beat! They are 6-0. There is no question about that. I was sitting on the couch thinking that we had our first loss, but then again I couldnt leave knowing that there is a chance to still win this game. This isnt the Viks we are use to. It is the Viks that are going to take us deep in the playoff's.Viks win! That is all I care about.Lesson's are learned every game. The coaching staff can see that the coasting to a win with a big lead isnt going to work. Need to keep pressure all game long. That is why they practice during the week to improve on things that were wrong the week before.
pegleg
The Ravens needed this win very bad and they played like it - they lost 3 in a row now and they were in the AFC championship game last year. We lost Winfield and Sapp was also hurt so we should be happy we got out of there with a win.As the song goes - "Don't worry be happy"!!! DTro
Honestly if an NFL fans sights are not set on winning the SB, why be a fan then? I guess I'm a different kind of fan Josh. I like to sit and watch or listen to the games. Enjoy the wins and grumble about the losses, but in the end realize that its about my entertainment. Superbowl is great, but I understand that there are 30 other teams fans feeling the same way. Everyone has their thing. You won't find me with a painted face, 12 beers in, blowing a bugle, but those same people could say, well, you won't see me out on water fishing with a snowmobile helmet and picking ice off my line. Wadinator
But Wade, its a win I guess. We won despite Childress's ultra-conservatism after being up by two scores, not because of it.We darn near lost because of it.In most of facets of his job, I think Chilly does a good job. However, I'd LOVE to have someone else controlling our offensive philosophy.

DTro
It's pretty obvious that Childress is pretty conservative when it comes to decision making. Good or Bad, I think he could lighten up a bit.
TurnUpTheFishing
I have heard several times now the batlimore "deserved the win", bull. Why? They didnt put up the points and we did. We had a fast start and they had a great finish but.... Halfs or quarters dont win games you have to play the whole thing and we played better the whole game.Is this a common occurunce around the league or is it just a mn deal to pick apart your team even after a win? Wadinator
How can you complain about offensive philosophy when they scored 33 points? We could have scored 50 if the play calling didn't go into conservative mode after every time we're up by 10 points or more.
