I have an H2O that will suck a set of batteries dry overnight.I put a new set in at 11:00 pm turned it off and at 6:00am they are comletely dead..put them in a mag light and nothing.I know they are hard on batteries but this seems extreme.Anybody else have this problem ???

Never heard of that happening with the H2O. I've got mine in my truck that I've had in there all summer with batteries in it and I use it once in a while. Still fully charged, and they are just cheap Rayovac brand batteries. If you still have the warranty I would suggest you call Lowrance.

I have a sony digital camera that did the same thing, it drained batteries very quickly even when it was turned off. For a while I just took the batteries out when I wasn't using it, then I eventually replaced it. It was a better deal to replace it than to try to have it repaired.

If it's not under warranty you are going to need to sweet-talk them into fixing it for free . If you can't get it done for free they'll charge you a flat fee for the service work, and the fee tends to be really steep (like not all that much less than a new unit). Good luck and I hope it works out.

If it’s not under warranty, it will probably end up costing more to fix/look at it then to just buy a new or used one.

I think they have been know in the past to send you a bill for their standard rate, just to diagnose the problem.

I have heard nothing but negative things about Lowrance customer service. I tried dealing with them once, and I say try, because I didn’t get anything but a busy signal for a week straight. frown
