Matt Breuer
While out grouse hunting I've bumped into a few. There's a very nice, very fresh scrape and rub in a spot where I've seen 'em for years and years. Always wanted to put up a cam there to see what's moving... Copper25
We saw some scrapes on Saturday. One HUGE one. Then just up the trail a really nice rub on a 6" tree. Buddy then saw a 10 pt bowhunting at 100yds. Couldn't get him to come in. Hope he lets him live until I see him during rifle season!
Archerysniper
Found 6 within 100 yards of my stand while walking in tonight all are in the woods deer are still keying in on the acorns.
AndyM
I was out scouting around yesterday. Found numerous rubs and even more scrapes. Is it only the does right now making the scrapes? Seems alittle early for the bucks to be making them already.
fivebucks
Does do not make scrapes. Early in the season it is usually mature bucks that make scrapes and rubs. I saw some scrapes and rubs on Saturday out grouse hunting. I saw more scrapes than grouse - go figure.
HOT SPOT
Last night I had a little 6 pointer come into my food plot and made a real nice scrape and put a lot of sent on the licking branch. All while a 150 in 10 pter was along the edge of the food plot at 45 yard he didnt seem a care what the little guy was doing. Unforunatly the buck never presented me we a shot. One of these days he will screw up and give me a chance.

jkcmj
Ha! I checked back today and found a few very light scrape signs by some of the field edge trees. Time to move my trail cam again!
buddha
I put a fake up for the first time this year. It is in my camera range so I will see what happens. No bucks spotted yet, just a few doe and some turkeys.
Meat-Run
I found last week a licking branch and scrape, put the camera on it and found a small 6pt and decent 8pt freshening it up every ten minutes on Friday and Saturday. They were competeing who was going to leave the last scent on the branch pretty cool shots.mr
mudslinger64
after i got into my stand this afternoon i noticed there was a fresh scrape on the trail i am watching, right where i am hoping to get a shot at a deer.it made it a little easier to stay in the stand with the wind, rain, sleet i was getting hit with along with the cooler temps.i didn't see anything on stand tonight but i did see 7 deer crossing the road heading in the direction of my stand which is about a 1/4 mile away, they were all coming out of an area that is very thick and i am thinking it is their bedding area. DoubleLunger
They are scraping like heck up in the Cambridge area. Unfortunately my buck pics are still all at night.
jkcmj
I moved my trail cam to the scrapes along the field edges and ended up with all small bucks working them right now. I have had a lot deer movement in the last couple of nights on the stand. Tonight I had a pack of coyotes come past my stand and spook a group of feeding deer away. I was able to stick an arrow through the big one, but after carrying the arrow about 75 yards and following a blood trail for 1/4 mile I gave up on recovering it. Sure looked like it was going down with the amount of blood he was leaving. Man the hides already look prime now!
