Wade would have only been 5 yards down field by that time. Lewis is a speed guy- one of the main reasons we got him. Stretch the field to help the run O...and with Berrian being slowed early by injury, it was a good move...And with the catch yesterday, it was a great move for one play, at least!

I also feel we shouldn't discount the throw. This was no lame duck, hail mary lob. It was a 45 yd line drive put to an exact point.

But after it's all said and done, one doesn't happen without the other. If Lewis doesn't make the catch, Favre is inaccurate. If Favre doesn't throw the ball that accurately, Lewis doesn't have a chance at all. Great tandem effort.

No...Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Big Ben (from time to time), and Drew Brees can all make that throw. But they don't play for our team, so we don't get as excited when they do it. How long has it been since we've seen a final drive capped off with a throw like that from the guys in purple?

If you asked Madden he would say Favre is the only one that can make that throw.
