nofishfisherman
I'm fairly good with photoshop and it would not be all that hard to fake a picture like this. The shadow issue isn't a give away however. If the sun is at a low angle its going to hit the trees and not the moose which sits lower then the trees. For sure the road is not a 2 lane gravel road. You can make out the worn path the tires have made and its only wide enough for one car. (look at the darker strip of gravel in the center and the two lighter strips of gravel on each side of it) And without something to use as scale its hard to tell if its even wide enough for a car, it might be just an ATV trail. Its hard to tell for sure but if I had to guess I'd probably say its a real photo with fake dimensions being attributed to it. If you see the road as a 2 lane road then the moose is unspeakably big, almost too big too big. If you see the road as a much smaller ATV trail then its plausible that its just a big moose that lacks anything around it to give it proper scale. But it is totally possible that it is 100% fake as well. Its really not that hard to fake a picture like this if you know some basic functions within photoshop and then pay close attention to detail. james_walleye
Kind of interesting if you compare the light that penetrates to the road in both pics. If you look below the little log in the road on the first pic there is much less sun shining on the road than the 2nd pic, as if the moose was blocking the light from hitting the road. In the first pic, just above the log on the very right edge of the road there is a pretty good amount of light hitting the road. In the 2nd pic, it alomst looks like there is a shadow of the moose leg through this beam of light hitting the road and the light shining just below the log looks to be almost all blocked out. Archerysniper
It could also be that they are laying down and taking the pic upward.

BigWadeS
I bet that moose just strolled out of that lake that the famous Northern picture was taken at. It was Rainy right? St Croix or was it Mille Lacs area?
