luckyworm
I am going to blow a gasket the next time the bullpen blows a game. It is very disappointing that we didn't improve are bullpen after last season when it cost us a trip to the post season. Gardy has to be steaming. Come on Bill Smith...wake up!!! wahoohendoo
crain allows another dinger tonite, he probably blamed mauer for the pitch call. he is a real drag. lose the necklaces it obviously is not helping your image.

wahoohendoo
does that make our pen better? at least we win.
Born2Fish
No our pen stinks. I am pretty sure we do have a couple guys down in little ball that are doing pretty decent. The only guys I don't have a problem with in the pen right now are Mijares and Nathan.
SledNeck
4 man rotation and put baker in the bullpen cause hes pitches great the first few innings before he coughs up leads.
Born2Fish
That would be an interesting idea. I am not sure if Baker would accept that though.
mrklean
Roger Clemens is out there maybe we could get him to pitch in our bullpen
CodyDawg
Not sure if Baker would accept it? He is under contract and if his boss tells him to work out of the pen, he works out of the pen. I have no reason to believe he wouldnt accept it, from all accounts he is a stand up guy. But that is one of the attitudes that needs to go in professional sports. It is a TEAM game. Players should do whatever is asked of them. Does anybody in the real world get to "not accept" a task from their boss...and if you are self employed, lets make your "boss" your wife! Anybody? Born2Fish
I guess that logic is pretty staunch. But just do not see it happening. We are not going to take our "supposed" stud and place him in the pen.
greebs
seems like baker has such a fragile disposition and wonder if that would deplete his confidence even further. it's too bad that they can't just go with a four man rotation like they used to do not all that many days ago. I think they actually could if some team would just do it but baseball has evolved in to 5 man rotations and doubt that will ever change, unless it eventually evolves into 6 man rotations. SledNeck
outfielders looked like c-rap tonite
zamboni
Wish the weather was better this weekend. Be on a dock instead of wasting 4 hours watching the Twins implode all weekend.
SledNeck
tomorrow is supposed to be nice, besides the low of 20F in the morning it should warm up to 60 atleast. It was 29F and 30 mph winds at 9am today and a day of baseball and nascar didnt sound too bad
harvey lee
If our starters were better, our bullpen might also be as they cannot carry the load so often.
greebs
no surprise with outcome last two games. twins have beat yanks 3 times in the last 24 games they've played. they seem to become like little leaguers and get intimidated whenever they play the yanks and red sox, expecially on the road. 24 at bats where men were left on base and 25 last night. that's way too many missed opportunities. agree that the bullpen is unreliable and basically terrible but hitters and starting pitching isn't helping out by forcing the bullpen to even come into play in the first place. this has been a frustrating season so far for twins fans. about the time you think they are going to put it together and start playing consistent, they play horrible and lose a few that they could have just as easily won. not sure what it will take but unless it changes, it's again looking like a typical minnesota sports team season where the goal is simply to make the playoffs but not much realistic chances of them doing anything once there. Geez I hope that isn't the case again.
Jakesbuds
Let the whole bullpen go, end of story lol
