we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted May 7, 2009 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted May 7, 2009 You are correct. I do remember cheering for the Vikes when he brought us back against Detroit and he helped us beat a number one seed play-off team - Giants and helped us beat the NFC Champs - Arizona by tossing 4 TDs. I would say his Play-off performance would be typical of a fledgling QB in his first play-off game who had taken over for a vet QB at the end of the season. That does not mean he's better than Sage and certainly does not mean he's a certainty at QB or that Sage is better than him. It does mean the T-Jack haters have gone overboard for some reason that defies logic. Fair is fair. I'm not sitting still when folks are unfairly beating up on one of our team members. One has to wonder if the haters are actually Packer Fans??? The Vikes draft, in my opinion does favor T-Jack.
PierBridge
Quote: You T-Jack haters are funny. The facts really get to you. All I said was TJ's last 5 games were at a 115.4 QB rating. Lets face it Rick the Crow or Egg on the face of the Haters won't be coming off anytime time soon. To listen to these guys whine all last year about T-Jack and to have him play very very good QB during the stretch drive including NFC offensive player of the Week...was well priceless to say the least!.. On a side note I expect T-Jack to be the back-up to Favre...
fishin58
B2fish, dont know if you followed the thread about all the experts that insist a QB should have 300 yards a game and nothing less. I could care less about yards and or QB rating as long as we get the W. Give me Rottenburger any day with one TD and 180 yards. Just get me the win. Opener whats that?? I just come here for the football rants!!
Jim Uran
The only reason Tjack looked ok is because of AP, and the vikings great running game. Can you imagine how good AP would be with an above agv QB!!!! Wow that would be awesome, I hope someday we get the chance to see.
Shack
Getting rid of Tarvaris Jackson right now is like throwing out a bottle of Chteau Mouton Rothschild Pauillac, because it is only a year or two old You hit that third or fourth, give it a little time, the talent comes out and you have a very subtle, great tasting wine and you have just tripled your investment . Sure the wine was a little bitter the first couple years, but it still tasted better than any $7.00 bottle off the liquor store shelf Now Favray is like a bottle of Bordeaux "1787" Chateau Lafite. Priceless and a must at any cost if given the opportunity to purchase it.

The Giants rested their starters for that game, so was that a real test for him? Oddly enough, the purple gets another gift playing them the last game of the season. The Giants won't have anything to play for again.
Jim Uran
I am so UNsophisticated!!!!! And c'mon badger don't say that, we had Gus and Tjack last year as startes and STILL won the division!!!
Born2Fish
I agree fishin58. Give me a QB who can manage the game and not lose it for us, I could care less if he throws for 32 yards and one touchdown.
Badger
I am so UNsophisticated!!!!! And c'mon badger don't say that, we had Gus and Tjack last year as startes and STILL won the division!!! Yes they did win the division last year with a 10-6 record. I give them credit for doing that with bad QB's. They easily could have lost the GB game 28-27 (as bad as the Pack played they could have won with a missed FG), Detroit 12-10 (Detroit!!!), New Orleans 30-27 (game was handed to them), Giants 20-19 (Giants rested their starters). The Packers defense was decimated by injuries last year. Cullen Jenkins missed 12 games, Nick Barnett missed 7 games, Al Harris missed 4 games, Atari Bigby missed 10 games. I laugh at people who say Rodgers sucked last year. It wasn't his fault they had a 6-10 season. 28 TD's, 13 Int's, 4028 yds and a rating of 93.8% is pretty good for his 1st year starting. The Pack lost 7 games last year by 4 points or less, those losses were primarily on the defense. The Vikings clearly need a QB. If they sign Favre and he's healthy, they will be the favorite in the NFC.
Jim Uran
We had our fair share of injuries also, even without Favre(he's staying retired) I honestly believe we will still win the division, with a great running game and an awesome defense!!!
Badger
I'm sure they will be the NFC favorite with a healthy Favre. With Sage and TJack, the division is up in the air for GB, Chicago and MN. As great as AP is, he better not lead the league in fumbles again this year. Those usually come back to haunt you!
we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted May 7, 2009 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted May 7, 2009 T-Jack had a better QB rating last year than Mr. Rodgers did
Jim Uran
But in his defense, he threw the ball probably 4 times as much as Tjack. (no I'm not a closet packers fan) I had Rogers on my fantasy team. GB's running game was horrible last year.
we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted May 7, 2009 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted May 7, 2009 Why are you defending Mr. Rodgers and the Packers leechbait????? LOL, I think you ARE a closet Packers fan and just won't admit it to your family as they would disown you Not that there's anything wrong with being a Packers fan. But we understand your need to hide it.
we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted May 7, 2009 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted May 7, 2009 Visanthe Shianco just said he thought T-Jack was a talented and a very good QB. He loves how T-Jack throws and especially likes how he can extend plays with his legs. He did mention Sage briefly on good terms. As for myself I think Sage will give him a run for his money It's going to be an interesting off-season with the QB competition. No Favre this year. Badger
T-Jack had a better QB rating last year than Mr. Rodgers did LOL...Who would you rather have as your QB? TJack's combined #'s from 2006 - 2008 (19 games)... 20Td's, 18Int's, 3,442 Yd's and a Rating of 76.5%
walleyes12
I guess I would take the qb that got me to the playoffs!!
