Great analogy hot spot........them are some snazzy comparisons..lol....YOu guys and your Cuddles love will see the big pture some day. PAPER STATS and there not even good paper stats.

Jermaine DYE....really I have seen defensive stats where Cuddy is ahead of Dye, so I guess you can pat your self on the back for that.

Also is this turning into family feud????????

GOOD answer good answer!!!

If YOU really think Delmon wont have a better career then Cuddles your only kidding yourself!

You delmon fans are out numbered at least 20 to 1, and thats just on here. Go listen to KFAN or watch the Sports Reporters show on sunday nights, have heard ALL of the personalities on both rip Delmon. Here's $3, go to Caribou, buy a coffee and wake up

here's another set of stats. morneau is having a less than stellar year yet whos stats are they similar to? looking at this though makes you wonder why buscher and morales aren't used more often as late game pinch hitters.

Fish58 you are correct the STATS are the STATS and in this instance they have been SLAMMED done your throat clear as the sky is blue!

In closing... WAH WAH WAH keep crying!

SO yeah? I dont see any ramming in fact the stats dont lie, in fact these stats expose how much of a fraud Cuddles really is?

So I dont really know what you are talking about...unless it is some of that internet sarcasm!??

Why because he is not a polished Vet like Cuddles, who still cannot lay off the 0-2 pitch that bounces and is a foot off the plate? Just remember if we keep him, trade him you will be one of the proud ones that wrote him off when he was 23.

But I can guarentee that DELMON will have a better career in every facet then your Cuddles.

You're turning into fish58 and thats sad!

Maybe you don't get the Twins broadcast up der but if you do all you would have had to have done to realize Cuddy probably has half of our clutch hits in the last 2 -3 months is watch the games. Of course you already know that!

I'm a little confused. I've watched the same games and posted stats showing that cuddy absolutely is not clutch. Although I suppose the question begs of what your interpetation of a clutch hit is. If it's got anything to do with getting hits when there are runners on base that need to be moved or knocked in and especially in the later innings of a close game, then you are either very confused or lying.

I don't see where the argument of Cuddyer being clutch started, but anyway, I don't see Delmon coming through when it is needed, either. In fact, in late innings, when he gets on he is ALWAYS pinch run for. Cuddyer VS Delmon in a footrace??? My moneys on Cuddyer

Bringing race into this one?

Cuddyer is older and faster than Mr Dumb I mean Young. Don't see Cuddyer getting pinch ran for. Why, if he is so fast, does Young always get pinch ran for??? Lack of speed or dumb mistakes on base path? Probably both.

Where was I?? Had to stop for a minute while Cuddyer knocked a single into LF.

Its a Wesley Snipes quote.

Delmon staying in doesnt figure into Gardy's sabotage plans

Don't be so niave greeb's.

I consider clutch hitting or play if there is such a thing with the huge offensive slump the twins have been in to be ...

Later inning HR's like cuddyer in the last 3 month's and frankly even I was shocked to know cudyer has 6 and the rest of team has 4 in that time period..BOXED AGAIN!

Or late inning extra base hits after the 7th inning again in which Cuddy is tied for 2nd behind a stiff like Joe Mauer.

or getting on base in which Cuddy has done numerous times. Haven't had time to get difintive numbers on that yet but Cuddy has kept hopes alive often with walks or hits MORE than anyone frankly.

Clutch is great defense which we are getting from Cuddy!

I can think of at least 10 later inning clutch hits or plays by Cuddyer in the last 3 month nightmare the Twins have suffered through and only a select few by other Twins. Of course I'm sure you can Fish58 errr I mean Greebs can surely come up with more from the Twins then that???

Nice try Fish58 errr I mean Greebs!

are you truly going to hang your hat on what your memory tells you versus bonafide statistics and then call me the naive one? 6 hr's in 3 months isn't really that impressive in my opinion and were all 6 of them in a tight 1 or 2 run game? same for doubles?

here's some real facts. only 6 hr's and 12 of the doubles came with people on base. batting avg. goes from .305 with bases empty to .232 with runners on base. slugging % goes from .613 with bases empty to .378 with runners on.

go to hardballtimes.com and check out the stats pages. he is 17th on the twins in their clutch hitting ratings and 12th in batting avg with runners in scoring position. no matter what stat you run on that ite, theres not a one that I can find that will classify him as a clutch hitter and compared to all american leaguers, he's way down there.

Now I'll say this again. I don't think the guy is a bad ball player but the terms clutch and consistent should never be used in trying to deescribe him.
