BrianLucky13
Your right, we improved our team with other players, so we should be better then last years NFC North Champions . Does winning a division mean anything??? To me it means you were better then ONLY 3 times and the whole NFL, blah blah blah!!!
klecker
Its like getting a big pat on the back. After you win it it all starts over.
klecker
Couple of good pickups today. Not to sure about the wr, maybe should have waited on that one.
klecker
MAY THE SCHWARTZ BE WITH YOU, and bringin the Mayhew Mayham
klecker
Pacman Jones???? Ya they need some talent but not the head aches. I hope they dont sign this guy. Unless its a very low contract with production perks. And a few op outs if he pulls the stuff he likes to do.
zepman
If Stafford can figure things out in the next few years, the Lions are going to be very good. It may not happen next year, but 2-3 years down the road will be a different story.
Scott K
Ya, the Lions are the Timberwolves of the League! They have all this good young talent on the team, but none of it ever comes together to accomplish anything!
klecker
Wanna send a thank you to MN for helping us add our fourth first pick in two years. Hopefully with these additions our last four first round picks will be starters this season.
LMITOUT
The roar has been restored!
goblueM
good draft, great offseasonDefensive line should be very respectable now. Suh and Best is a good start to the draft!!!I'm not sure why they dumped Ernie Sims though, hopefully Mayhew has a plan
BRULEDRIFTER
The NFC Central will be quite the division this season. Could get interesting!
klecker
Cant jump the gun just yet but they may be on their way. Dont understand all the brittle talk about Best. I wonder if those same people are writing that stuff like they did for AP? They must like crow? The dude gets one injury and misses 3-4 games, when bradford misses most of the season. Still has to prove him self but its a good pick to add talent. Now we just need to find a left tackle.
Scott K
It was a very good off season for the Lions, the Central wont be a wimpy division this year!
goblueM
correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't Best only have that one freakish bad concussion from a really bad fall? I don't think he has a history of injuries.
klecker
Sure feels good to have a running back with afterburners in his legs.
goblueM
woo i'm drinkin the lions kool-aid right now! at least for the dline and the offensethe defense is going to suck again. but stafford sure looks like the real deal!
zamboni
Sure feels good to have a running back with afterburners in his legs. What is everyones thoughts on Jahvid Best? Took a flyer on him for my fantasy team- 4th or 5th round I think.
zepman
If he stays healthy, he's going to be great!
goblueM
i'm calling it right now... HUGE game for stafford, and Best shows why he was drafted in the first roundi'm expecting nothing less than an offensive shootout. Unless the Bears insist on doing 5 and 7 step drop passes, then we should eat their Oline alive
SFC
Lions the season has started!
klecker
Suh is the teams back up place kicker. I quess he is better than the punter at place kicking. He grew up playing a fare amount of soccer. Now that his rookie year is over. I got a feeling that the coaching staff in Deroit will deploy him on offense next year in certain packages. The talent this dude has is unreal.“Ndamukong is our backup field goal kicker; he’s done it in practice. You guys have been to practice before and seen him do it. We have a lot of confidence that he could kick it. It put him in a difficult situation because he went out without any warm-ups."“I probably should have called a timeout and given him time to get ready.”Suh
goblueM
that video is ridiculous. he is a freak of naturei will be looking forward to watching the Lions Defense now, something I could never have said before this yearI'm thinking 8-8 should be minimum expectations for next year, I fully expect to compete for the playoffs
klecker
I would like the Lions to pry away Greenway this year. That would be a good fill at the LB for us. Levy, Follett and Greenway would be a descent crew.
goblueM
i thought Follett had a pretty serious neck/head injury and his career might be in jeopardy, according to the Detroit News about a month agoI don't see the Vikes letting Greenway get away from them either. I'd look for us to draft a LB in round 2 or 3, hopefully get someone in FA (assuming both of those happen....)
goblueM
this gets me excited for next year! clever combination of chrysler's superbowl commercial and lions highlights
