Jeremy, all I can say is wow. I know velvet can look decieving, but that's a HUGE buck. I've never seen anything close to that in the field and would have no idea what he scores, but if I had to guess I'd say 150 gross, being very conservative. If I were you I wouldn't sleep until opener.

Not really any quality ones like yours. I think I might be scaring the big boys away by checking the cams too often. Do you think that matters? Besides I don't know how to put them on here yet, I'm brand new to the site and to the sport...kinda

Great pics guys, I got a problem. I have been seeing a real nice buck on some public land. I have seen him in the same spot 4 times so far. Where I have been seeing him is in the flats with really no trees on that section. Just tall grass land with some slughs in it. What I am wondering is if you can put a camera on public land? and do you think its worth it being I have to go into his area to put the camera out? But I Really want to get out there to find a place for my ground blind, and to get a pic. I have a good idea were to put it but when im 400 yards away its hard to tell.

Anyone seeing any BONE yet? I got a hardhorn jr on the 25th and another nice 2 1/2 yr old 8 point in bone yesterday! They outta be shedding that velvet full throttle now!

Ya I would say any time now, in my experience every buck I have seen or have game photo of still has velet in late August but my bow opener that velvet is off so the next 1-3 weeks it should be happening.

Well heres the first hardhorned trail cam for ya... taken on the 29th.... pretty suprised, but there are a few out there....

Had the cam out for about 4 days... only one buck... pre season strategy was pass on anything below 140, gonna hafta pass i think... one more year and he'll be just about right!

It got the blood boilin nonetheless.... hes a 9 point, small crabclaw, hard to see on his left beam...
