How could he estimate the length using the 2X4 in the background if he didn't know the distance between said 2x4 and the fish?? Either way it's a monster, I've seen that article a few years ago, I forgot about it. Cool story!!!

Thats one heck of a pike but I don't think it would go 70 inches. If someone wanted to put a mid 50' muskie picture side by side with that I think they would compare closely. He looks like a fairly skinny guy and is holding it way in front of him.

i would guess 50s, i just cant see that thing going 70 no way. 70 inches is almost 6 feet long. If that fish is almost 6 feet long that dude is like 8 feet tall then. Nice fish but not 70
