Birdsong
Brrr! Maybe they are just blue from the cold. How did you manage these? Very cool.
MN Shutterbug
What a cute little bugger. I do have to admit, this is the first I've seen of one of these in any photo forum.
ShawnZ
I'd say the cool rating on these is a 10 of 10. That last image is incredible, tack sharp where you want sharpness and a great composition, congrats.
JayinMN
This varmint is feeding under the bird feeders on Admiral Rd. He was there tonight again too. I noticed it running in and out of its hole so set up and waited for it to return.

Bottle Fish
JayinMN I was curious as to what that is on your avatar.
JayinMN
The animal on my avatar is a short tailed weasel wearing its winter coat. They turn from brown to white in winter and are often called ermine.
skee0025
Saw the title of Ugly beady eyed bog creature and thought someone snapped a photo of the mother in law...
knoppers
I don't think that is a mole, it may be a shrew.
Bottle Fish
Thanks JayinMN it is a very nice photo and a great avatar. As for the creature I have no idea, but great shots though.
JayinMN
I think Knoppers is right. I did a little research on our native shrews and it appears its a short tail shrew. I never knew we had a large variety of shrews. MN even has "rare" shrews. The only shrews I had seen prior where the pygmy shrews which are only about 2 inches long. I didn't think it would be a shrew since it was eating sunflower seeds and they are supposed to be carnivors. I guess you each what you can when your hungry and shrews can die of starvation after 2-3 hours with out food!
