Scott M
fishlakeman,I’m happy for NDSU but I wouldn’t say the Gophers played out of their mind at home against the Bison. It wasn’t like that game was the Gophers highlight of the season. Undoubtedly it helped as NDSU had a nice run and helped bump up the RPI.Also, how can you say the Bison played a tougher nonconference schedule? USC and Stephen F. Austin are good teams, but Minnesota beat conference champions Cornell, NDSU, and the number one freakin’ seed and Big East champion Louisville. Tubby got called out for his weak nonconference schedule and I think you’ll see a tougher schedule in 09-10, can you say the same for NDSU? I don’t think NDSU’s larger SOS is all due to their conference schedule.*********Allright, the football loss to the Bison by the Gophers last year was embarrassing and has become the ultimate low water mark for the MN program…it also showed how up and coming NDSU is in the football world.. The Gophers still lead the all time series 24-1 in basketball and 6-1 in football. I suppose all the Nodakers will be talking about the 2007 football win as gushingly as the 1936 basketball win. Well, it is on their Wikipedia page, that’s probably a foregone conclusion.NDSU has a strong football and basketball program, truly something to be proud of. It was great to see all those people behind the team, literally, during the selection show. And please don’t joke about how they have nothing better to do, give credit where credit is due. Before last year’s run through the brackets, Kansas has had a recent history of being upset. I would love to see NDSU send them back home.Go Bison! LMITOUT
I went down to the Final Four practice in 2001 thinking I wouldn't have an opportunity to see my Blue Devils play in the games, but a couple of days later ended up with choice tickets to watch them beat Arizona for the championship. Being a life-long Duke fan I couldn't have asked for anything more. First of all I never thought I'd be able to see a Duke game, secondly them in a championship game, and lastly Duke winning a championship!! The tri-fecta all in one night. Checked that one off the bucket list. Now a trip to Cameron would complete the category....
Scott M
Nice! It would be awesome to watch a game in Cameron. I want to get to North Carolina...lots of U.S. history, great basketball, and some decent fishing to boot.It was hard to pick Kansas to advance. I think NDSU is going to give them a heck of a game. When you watch little schools that pull off upsets, they have senior leadership, can shoot the three and hit free throws, and can get stops down the stretch. Check, check, and ? I think this game is going to be closer than some people think. Personally I think NDSU has a better chance at an upset than Minnesota.
10,000 Casts
I think the line is Kansas by 10. So those of you that think that NDSU doesn't belong there might want to place your wagers now!
PierBridge
I was at that game also LMIT. Unfortunately the Tickets were free and in the upper deck about as far away as you could be from the floor. It was like watching a bunch of Ants run around probably the most frustrated I've ever been at a sporting event.
koonie
Already been done. Not saying they don't belong though.
petepeters
Ill say it. They Dont Belong! Kansas will win by 11-14 so go ahead and put your money on NDSUCKU to beat the spread or even win, HA!

LMITOUT
Kansas will win by 11-14 On Sunday you said they'd win by "at least 17". Why are you lowering the expectations of Kansas? Getting nervous or something???
petepeters
A win is a win dude, that does not change, but changing the spread is routine. It has nothing to do with nerves. If you want I could put you on a moneyline of +280. That is confidence, not nerves.
LMITOUT
Why then would you change YOUR spread? It appears that you feel it's going to be a closer game than you had originally thought. Hmmmm...
petepeters
ill give the ndsu cows 1-2 extra three pointers.
fishlakeman
petepeters, what is your problem and pure and utter rudeness toward NDSU? You are acting childish and immature. Cows? c'mon. Show some maturity and GROW UP or please get off this topic. Your elementary level comments and name calling are really getting old.My guess is that you're either 14 years old, a hockey fan, a sioux fan, or both, with the goal of just trying to ruffle a few feathers. Go ahead, keep on trying to take away from the hard work and accomplishments these guys have made. I don't know how the game's going to turn out, but I hope NDSU has a good showing. It's fine saying there going to loose, but all the other B.S you're spewing is questionable. Looking at your post history it appears it isn't the 1st time either. Clean up or please just take a break from posting for a while.
eyeguy 54
NDSU is an irrelevant team. Hence their #14 seeding. The gophers are no "great" team either but they are some what relevant because of their ability to make a run at an advancement, even if its just one game. NDSU WILL NOT ADVANCE. You guys got invited to the dance. sure. but your going with your buck-tooth cousin and sitting in the corner all by yourselves. Which is nothing new for people from ND. LOL thems fightin words sonny. as soon as I get my tooth brushed I'm gonna come over there and kick something. lol, I is a nort dakotan! yahoooooo

zepman
Getting close to 20 years removed from NDSU now but couldn't be prouder. Go Bison!!
Northlander
I hope they put on a good showing. One thing is they will play hard. They may get outplayed but not out hussled. I have only seen them play once but seen highlights of a lot of games and Im impressed. I dont care what conference they played cin. They still had to work their [PoorWordUsage] off to get to the dance so lets not take anything away from them.Im taking NDSU in the biggest 1st round upset ever. DTro
I guess I don't care either way. I didn't pick them to win on my bracket, but now after reading this thread, I hope they mop the floor with KU.
redlake
Hey! I am a sioux fan and I am pulling for Moo U! I think NDSU has a chance. Kansas is a team that may overlook the Bison. Kansas has done it before in the tournament. Go Bison! and Go Gophers!
redlake
And shame on you for your use of the name Pete Peters.
