What do you do with the rest of the minnow?

If you're in a hard house, after you pinch off the minnow part you need for your spoon or whatever, do you throw the rest down the hole or not?

eat it. Good proteins and lets you know if they are good quality minnows

Drop it for scent, probably doesn't help but something will eat it down there.

On the outside of my hole, on top of ice. When we pack up the house the birds will have a meal. Why not drop it down the hole?? Because to me that is food for the fish to eat, and they might pass on the part on my jig and eat the rest.

I use the head first but if they're biting, they'll bite on the tail too so I save them.

I do something different with it depending on what mood i'm in i guess. Sometimes i'll chum it, other times i'll throw it on the ice under my house, other times i'll chop bits to tip on spoons, don't really put much thought into it i guess...

chum is prolly best answer though depending on species.

I usually drop them in my buddy's jacket pocket when he's not looking. Then I don't fish with him again until I'm sure he's laundered his jacket.

on a very slow day if your like myself and don't bring food with but you have a heater cooker like i do you can always grill them up lol
