Look at the fishes head, where it meets the blue sweatshirt in the background. Someone used photoshop (poorly) to make a big fish bigger, methinks. They may have also used photoshop on their nose/glasses, but I'm not sure about that.

Photoshop? Are you kidding me? If you can do a better job than you need to be working in the printing industry! You think it's photoshop because of the ice on it's back. If it's photoshop then this person needs to come forward so I can start them working in my printshop.

I have worked quite a bit on photoshop, and I can see no obvious signs. I have seen a lot of pics that give the appearence of being fake and it is actually the real thing. I guess until it is confirmed real, you can't assume.

Why is it that everytime someone catches or shoots something nice someone immediately calls out "photoshop"? I don't think that it is fake one bit. I caught a couple of fish that were pretty close to this on Leech this fall. It's funny to me that everyone wants to see pictures of nice fish, but once one is posted, some see it as a fake. Give The Unibomber some credit for a nice catch!

This HSOforum is getting to political. Someone posts a pic of a fish or animal they got and instantly photoshop comments come flying out of nowhere. Just type in nice pic and be on your way. The same with someone posting where they caught some crappies on a lake a while ago. He got bashed for it. All you have to say is nice report. Stuff like this makes a guy not want to post, post a pic, or be on here anymore.

Solid Jumbo, the best tasting IMO.

Yeah maybe it's not fake, who knows. Don't get your panties in a pretzel about it though. It's just kind of a funny picture especially with the groucho marx face on it. To me the bottom 1/3 and the top 2/3 don't seem to match up. It would be nice to have the story from the person who actually caught it.

Thats no photoshopped fish, I cant believe some of you people some times.

I swear sometimes I am embarressed to be part of this HSOforum with some of the negative comments I read and people that get bashed because they give a report.

Just STOP people, there is no need for anything but friendly comments on here.

Thats a fat fish! I enjoy photoshop challenges, so I decided to take a look at this one up close.

I think the Mr. potato head look is actually real, but the fish is still up in question.

There are no noticeable repeated clone patterns or stretch lines. The fins are definately real (someone had mentioned the color was too bright), when you change the histogram you can see it. The snow chunks are a great watermark that would be tough to duplicate over any changes.

It is very possible that the fish was magnified, but again I see no tell tale signs and the hand placements do not look to be modified at all.

Being a random image from an e-mail chain or the internet where credibility can't really exist, I feel it is perfectly appropriate to question the reality of it. Had this been the catch from an active poster here, I would hope that everyone would take a different approach and show more respect.

And just for reference, here's what's on file for So. Dakota's record perch..

My thoughts exactly!

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
