pushbutton
Don't know a lot about green sunfish, but on a lake i fish frequently, started seeing crosses starting to pop up about 5 years ago. Every year they are getting bigger and ran into a pod of them yesterday. Those little buggers fight like the dickens and you think you have a monster on. Actually some are getting into the 8 inch class, but still pretty skinny compared to a blue. Here is a few photos of them.
reinhard1
they are also the most agressive as far as biting in my opinion. good luck.

rattleL
Was out on some spawning crappies a few days back crappies were nice and also ran into a few sunfish sitting on some beds. Biggest one came in at 10.75 and was let go to pass on some genes. I cant stress enough how important CPR is on these big bull gills. Crappies were right at 12 inches. All fish were caught on small plastics (tubes or micro paddle tails).
