This is a nice signing. He is starting to become a very solid D-Back. Wonder what they're going to do about Winfield this year or next? His contract is up at the end of next year too....and is getting up there in age.

Actually he was second in tackles because he spent a lot of time in run support. His coverage the last half of the season was pretty good based on what the cover two is meant to do.

He's a good solid CB. The Vikes did well with this one.

the only reason he was second on the team in tackles is because they completed passes on him so much. he's young and needs to tighten it up and picking more off.

EXACTLY

he was good in run support also but gave up catches right in front of him 3-4 times a game and then would make the tackle.

Lots of talent in this draft at ot,cb, and wr. All positions we need an injection of some youthful talent. Not much talent quarterback wise though.

You're right though this offseason has been a snoozer.

I couldn't agree more.

I hope they pull off a couple of surprises yet.

Not counting on it though.

Offensive lineman Marcus Johnson signed with the Raiders the other day...we now have zero players left on our roster from the 2005 draft. Let's hope we do a little bit better than that this year.

That was James Leechbait.

Udeze is still on the roster and has been working out at winter park, what a story, hope he can make it back and play some more. If not for the talent, then just for the story of beating his cancer.

Britt would be a great pick but only if the top 5 offensive tackles are already off the board. If they are we could trade down 5 or 6 picks and get Britt plus an extra 3rd rounder.

I see probably 20 different mocks each day from the so called experts. The most common names next to the Vikings logo are: Eben Britton, Hakeem Nicks, Kenny Britt, and Percy Harvin. In that order. Funny though, I've always heard that Childress doesn't value wide recievers in the first round and won't take one unless it's a bpa situation.

Here's my version of how it'll go down in the first three rounds. I'm not Kiper, Mayock, or McShay but here goes.

Round 1) Eben Britton OT- Hoping for a trade down to pick Britt WR

Round 2) DJ Moore CB- Hoping for CB Alphonso Smith(doubt he'll fall this far though) or Jamon Meredith OT.

Round 3) Terrance Taylor DT-

He is a monster. The only problem is he isn't atheletic enough for our zone blocking scheme. I could see him moving inside to guard though. If the Vikes want a guard they'd be better off picking Duke Robinson. Also, Loadholt will be available in the late second round and there are two or three other tackles that would fit our system better(Meredith, Kropog, Tupou(sp)).
