yeah griff is getting better...he was getting owned in coverage earlier in the year and stepped it up a bit...he's a tackling machine though...part of the reason our guys give up alot of catches is the zones we call...winfields the same way he'll give up some catches but he'll tackle anything in sight.

the heath signing is by no means a big splash but i think its a good signing forsure...our special teams took a big dump when we lost him...he runs the show out there on special teams...hopefully he has no more ACL issues.

lol heck no!!! that was sage!!

we got spoiled last year when our team went out and signed a few of the biggest FA's on the market opening weekend and then went and also got jared.

they at least entertained the idea and made a run at TJ..just sucks they low balled a little to much when we had a chance to lock him down.

alot goes on behind the scenes that isn't talked about or you can't read about...i'm sure the vikes have their noses in trades...we could be out there trying to land cutler, braylon, boldin, some oline guy, who knows...we have the money and we aren't scared to throw some picks around...i guess i have faith in zigy to want to win....he sure beats red mcdummy.

i'm with ya on that...i'm just sittin back waiting for something to get really excited about...the tj thing had me going.

i heard a couple nights ago when they were talking about the cutler ordeal they said brad childress from the vikings was still inquiring about cutler....there's better players out there to try and get in trades then there is FA's this year.

sometimes word gets out two teams are close to a deal for a little bit and sometimes its BOOM a done deal out of nowhere....i'm waiting for that BOOM lol

that was a solid signing forsure.

you guys hear about the new stadium proposal? they want to make a casino in the metro area and use some of that money for a new stadium instead of taxpayers money.

tough to get a casino that non-indian related but i hope it works out...atleast all them peoples money they like to waste would actually be going back to something useful.

IMO the dome should be just fine, especially since the Vikes would be the only occupants of it in a year, which to me would say they would control all revenues generated? Wrong time to be asking tax payers to pay for a stadium when you got 800 people applying for one janitor job in Blaine (Kare 11 6pm story monday night). On the flip side, we do only have ourselves to blame on this or those we voted to represent as this has been out there since the gang of 12 owned the team

Quote:

The Vikings reportedly introduced T.J. Houshmandzadeh to Tarvaris Jackson before Housh balked at their contract offer in favor of Seattle's.

Housh based his decision on money, but the Minneapolis Star Tribune and ex-Vikes beat writer Kevin Siefert believe Jackson may have been presented as Minnesota's starting QB. Sage Rosenfels should pass him in training camp, but it looks like Jackson will be given every opportunity to compete.

No wonder why he didnt sign with the Vikes crazy

Allen is a great player, and it is awsome the Vikes went and got him, but IMO, a young stud QB that can throw 300+ yds a game would be a huge asset to this team. And watching a QB complete a pass once in a while can be exciting to watch as well! Although I realize most of us havent seen that in a long time.

I was listening to KFAN today and they brought up an interesting idea. Would you trade Jared Allen for Culter? Hmm

no, not after we traded away a #1 for him. I don't think Cutler is worth a #1 pick. A 2nd yes, maybe 2 years worth of 2nds, but not a first rounder
