Schloogs
for winning the rushing title. First viking to accomplish this.He finished the season with 1,760 yards, the 21st-highest total in league history. From the Star Trib"In addition to his rushing title, he became only the fifth player in NFL history to rush for 3,000 yards in his first two seasons. With 3,101 yards, his rushing total ranks fourth after two seasons, trailing only Eric Dickerson, Edgerrin James and Earl Campbell.Peterson reached 3,000 yards in only 30 games, which tied for the third fewest in league history. He is also the first Vikings player to average 100 yards rushing per game in a season. His 103.4-yard career average ranks second in NFL history, behind Jim Brown at 104.3"Now if he could only hold onto the football.
PierBridge
Not bad for a guy who hasn't been totally healthy since before the Al Harris cheap shot over a year ago.I hope he can heal up this off season and get that break-away speed back that he had last year. Sandmannd
He's one of a kind and we are lucky to have him. I'll take the fumbles for the amount he carries and the yards he gets. I don't like the fumbles, but they don't kill the team most of the time.

DTro
Wow, he's in some good company there. Let's hope that MN is able to keep a superstar here and not lose him or trade him away like every other great player.
Sandmannd
It would be hard to see him go. Good thing is that he seems like a really good kid and has no off field issues. Pay him to keep him his whole career.

FISHINGURU
blame red for that one...he was a stingy hater that never spent money to get over the hump....zigy is a much better and smarter owner imo.
Sandmannd
I agree Guru, I'm still bitter at that old man for that. I think he did it right before he sold to spite MN fans. Have you guys ever heard the reply on 93x when they were at training camp and Red was on with the morning show? He fell of the chair and went flying into their van. They said "Oh my God, I think we killed Red!!" Still funny every time I hear it.
