Yeah, they are called big-mouth buffalo, but they are similar to carp so i guess thats why I called it that.

This has to be my first carp since I could remember. As you can see i had no idea in how to properly hold it. it started to look at me and I got freakedout. I wasn't intending to catch a carp but it was a [PoorWordUsage] of a fight.

My first shovelnose sturgeon. I went out to st.peter yesterday targeting him and caught it after about 10 channel cats. Really is a beautiful fish.

Don't have pics but i caught about a 10 pound carp this past weekend. Did i mention it was on an ultralight with 4 pound test.

I think Travis1 was asking if the fish came from the Minnesota river. The answer is no, it was not caught in the MN river.

too bad we couldn't hook up with the mirrors we saw yesterday muddog. thanks again for taking me out while I was in town!

I had a good time too. To bad the Carp didn't want to come out and play.

Next time out I'll be trying something white with a grizzle hackle on a size 22 hook. Just to see if I can get one to take it. Keeping the hook from pulling out may be a obstacle but the take is what I'm looking for right now. I'll let you know what happens.
