Got my oldest boy out this morning for some first time cattin'. He was talking about it all morning before we went. We met Tyler at a favorite spot, unloaded the boat and hit the water. We really didn't expect much with all the rain we have had lately down here, it has added quite a bit of water to the local watersheds. That and we didn't hit the water until a lot later than we usually do since Hunter was with. Surprisingly it wasn't long until we got our first clicker run, and the subsequent swing and miss! So I reeled it in and checked his bait for him, and then tossed it back out to what I thought was roughly the same spot, told Tyler that I thought that was about the same spot, put the rod back in the holder, and barely sat down and the clicker took off again!! This time I conected and "handed" the rod over to Hunter to reel it in! After a few minute fight Hunter managed to land his first channel cat, along with the help of dad (me) and Tyler. It was actually a pretty nice fish, 25"X13" Here are a couple of pics...Enjoy!

BIG THANKS TO TYLER FOR TAKING US AND PUTTING UP WITH A THREE YEAR OLD IN HIS BOAT! I KNOW YOU AREN'T VERY USED TO THAT! ;\)
