Fluker
Howdy everyone. Back from IBBT in Missouri as of 1AM yesterday morning. I'm still pretty bushed. Fishing was hard work, but pretty descent. We took 2nd place with 24.5 lbs on 8 fish. We had 5 for 14.5 on day 1 and 3 for 10 on day 1. Day 2 we had a 2 1/2 hour fog delay and didn't leave until 9AM. Extened weigh in from 12 to 1 which ended up biting up. 1st place team caught a 3 1/2 and a 3 in the last 30 minutes. Oh well, great time! On day 2 I cracked an ear on my prop. It's about 2/3 the way through and ripped pretty good. Anyone know of any SE Minnesota / Metro prop shops that do a good job and are affordable? EBass
Nice, 2nd place is good. There is a place in Eden Prairie called the Prop Shop. I've never been there so I don't know the work or prices, but hey it's a start.

Fluker
Thanks everyone. I think there is a place in Zumbro Falls, but that is the closest I've heard of. Depending on what it will cost to get it fixed, I might be better off looking for another.I found one that should be shipped today, so I should be atleast covered. Would be nice to get this one fixed to use on the river though.I'm not sure what happened to be honest, but you are right, VERY lucky in many ways. We made a 15/16 mile run on Friday and found some better fish. The water was really muddy in the rivers area, but warm. And it was much clearer in the dam area, but colder, so we spent our time in between looking for the best in between and most stable water. North coves with decent visibility, but still warmer than further down lake. Anyway, we made the run there Sat morning and ended up with 14.5 lbs. Day 2 was shortened by fog, but we decided it was still wise to make the run. That day, they were dropping the lake as they needed to release water from the lake above. When they do that, all the stuff gets pulled from the banks out to the middle, so there was debris everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE! We didn't hit anything noticable on the run up, and we spot jumped a couple times within the cove we were in with no problem. Then on the 3rd or 4th jump, I noticed I blew out some and after that it would vibrate a little. So I checked the prop and sure nuf it was ripped.WORD to the wise. GET yourself a spare prop. I was VERY lucky to have had a guy in our club give me a spare prop from my engine about 3 years ago. I've kept it in the boat all along, but had never put it on. Thought many times that I'd better test it to make sure it works, but never took the time. Luckily it work. Hole shot was fantastic (amazingly!) but could only turn it about 4K and run about 30, so we lost a lot of fishing time in a short day. Regardless, it could have been worse that is for sure! st.crioxfishin
Congrats on the 2nd place finish! I hear the bite is getting pretty good down there. A guy from work left today for Lake of the Ozarks for a couple days of fishing...I'm Jealous!
Fluker
Bob - He should be hitting it just right. Water is starting to warm very well and the fish should be getting really active.
Ralph Wiggum
Formula Propellor in Brooklyn Park recently did one for me and it looks great (I'll try it this weekend). $55 out the door for an aluminum. Stainless is a bit more. Google them and they have prices listed on their HSOforum.

moviking
I always have a spare prop in the boat, like you said when they lower the water, there is all kinds of junk in the water, have to use caution. Happy to hear you did good on Lake of the Ozarks, personaly I don't like the lake and fish Truman most of the time. Not near as much boat traffic, and better walleye fishing.
