WildCountry
"Ottoman - Here's a list of QB's that have started for the Queens since Favre made his 1st start for The Pack:Rich Gannon, Jim McMahon, Warren Moon, Brad Johnson, Randall Cunningham, Jeff George, Daunte Culpepper & Tarvaris Jackson!Who will be next?"Looks the the Packers will be next. I think that looks like a good list of possible QB's for Favres spot

huntnfishsd
Daunte at his best had 2 knees that were 100% and complete confidence in. He hasn't done a thing since the injury...The Packers do have a nice O-Line, but we will see how they hold up to the modern version of the Purple People Eaters. Good luck with Allen on the edge and the Williams Wall up the middle. Also, your Cheeseheads drafted 2 QBs this weekend...still interested in Daunte??14-2?? After losing the face of your franchise for 17 years?? I am not saying the Packers are gonna fall off the map, but that seems a bit high to me, IMO.But, like you said it is fun to talk this time of year! I can't wait til preseason!!GO VIKINGS!!! Nothing GB has compares to those two hall of famers.
tisosy11
The packers offered him a contract and then drafted two QBs while cutting 2 the day after.Daunte doesn't want to play in GB. He should go to baltimore or STL and try it out.The packers have a long road ahead...A-Rod is not nearly ready and will be a downgrade from 07 favre and an upgrade from 05-06 favre. It will be interesting and I hope to be in lambeua to witness the Jared Allen era LIVE!!!Thank you Jacksonville for making us look briliant in trading for Allen! zamboni
*************** THIS JUST IN****************Brett Favre and John Madden spotted wandering aimlessly and hand in hand around Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Police located them and gave them a ride back to Favres ranch in Kiln.

Phill Aldahl
You guys just wish you had a QB as good as Favre was. Crack all the jokes you want, but who still hasn't won a superbowl?
fishyguy
Thanks Phill for another creative, witty and original comeback we have come to expect from the Packer faithful. We should realize that since we haven't won a SB we should just hide ourselves away during football season in homage of the green and gold, thier fans and the 8th wonder of the world, Lambeau. We should probably forget our opinions, our rivalries, our humor and trash talk during the offseason. We are not worthy of conversation, jokes or sarcasm. Our deference should be more be more obvious. By the way, this is just sarcasm, no need to take this too seriously. Is their something that was put in those green and gold jerseys sold in stores that gives someone thin skin and removes all creative thought? Maybe it is some chemical leaking from those cheese wedges on their heads? Then again, they are known to kill a few brain cells with a beer or two. tcroz
I think "The no Super Bowl" reponse to Minnesotans is part of the school curriclum in Wisconsin. They probably practice it right after "The Pledge of Allegiance".
CrappiesNCats
the packers do not have 5 receivers better than the vikings best. thats absolutely laughable. sure the pack have two better but its foolish to think that Berrian/Rice wouldnt be 3 and 4 on that list
Flatlander
I agree 100% C$C. There is no way Berrian/Rice would be 4 and 5 on that list, let alone 3 and 4. Our TE's are better than those clowns. In all seriousness, Rice will be a superstar. Berrian will not. If the Vikes are fortunate, they may be able to make a trade for Driver next year. Phill Aldahl
Your guys comments do make me laugh. I was just saying that without winning a superbowl there isn't really a right to talk trash. Now if you were fans of any other team then it would be ok. Flatlander I don't know if Rice will be a superstar with Travaris throwing to him. Let's not forget the Vikes have been to four, there are still teams out there that can't say that either. Sure they lost, but they had a great run in the purple people eater days. Besides, I'd rather have horns than a block of cheese on my head!!

Badger
Isn't winning a championship the ultimate goal? Do you think fans for other teams that have won championships brag about that? It is definitely criteria for trash talk! It's impressive that MN got to 4 superbowls/championships. When they win one, I guarantee the purple fans will be bragging about it. Until then, brag about having the worst Superbowl (0-4) record with Buffalo.FYI....the Pack has 12 championships (but that's really not bragging criteria).
fishyguy
I don't think that anyone is saying championships aren't bragging criteria. I believe the issue started when we got the, "at least we won a SB" comment. It is not that the Pack fans brag about the championships, they should. I know I would. It is about the fact that they throw that out there when it doesn't fit or as a way to deflect a conversation heading in a direction they don't want. It almost comes across as a "well, my daddy can beat up your daddy", comment. If the goal is to win championships and that is the criteria to talk about your team and talk trash to a rival, I would think that winning one in the last 40 years isn't exactly putting you on the top of the food chain either. Or maybe even only the team that wins the Super Bowl can have their fans talk the next year. The rest of the teams failed. Some failed while watching their hero go down in embarassing flames before riding off into the sunset.
