Cooter
If you haven't already heard, Brett Favre announced that he will be moving from Mississippi to Minnesota. He said he wanted to get as far away from professional football as possible.

IFallsRon
That would be funny if he didn't live in the shadow of he Superdome.
Down Deep
Farve would be stopped at the border. Minnesota does not need another quarterback that chokes in big games.

Matt C
Because he played for Green Bay.....remember this is "fishing Minnesota.com" Vikes vs GB is a great rivalry and tradition to pretend we hate each other. Just like soccer in Europe and south America. and Hockey in Canada. PS... Vikings vs Dallas NFC championship game 2008. Go Vikes!

Badger
I'm sure you Vikes fans would have loved to have him over the years! MN football has nothing over WI....The Packers & Badgers have put you to shame in recent years. MVP's, Division Championships, Superbowl, Big Ten Titles, Heisman Trophy etc.The interceptions are minor compared to his other achievements...Be proud of having the worst record (0-4) in Superbowls! fishyguy
Actually Buffalo is 0-5. We are only second worst.
Badger
Actually MN was the 1st team to reach the Super Bowl 4 times and lose them all...Buffalo & Denver have you tied with 4 losses each as well.

otto_man
scared of what/who the vikings? yep, we're shakin in my shorts!just another year of high expectations for viking fan only to be brought down to earth big time with another average season. you can do everything you'd like with your team but you need to get a qb that's not as dumb as a stump... Fish On! Guide Service
I should also mention that at least us Viking fans have hope, but you Packer fans are $crewed for many o' years now that your only hero has retired. Good riddance to Fav-ra and his cheesehead puppets!
huntnfishsd
The streak of Cheeseheads at the top in the NFC North will end this year!!!!SKOL VIKINGS!!!!!
Badger
Ottoman - Here's a list of QB's that have started for the Queens since Favre made his 1st start for The Pack:Rich Gannon, Jim McMahon, Warren Moon, Brad Johnson, Randall Cunningham, Jeff George, Daunte Culpepper & Tarvaris Jackson!Who will be next? THE PACK HAS WON 12 CHAMPIONSHIPS (more than any other team in NFL history) Congrats to the purple for having the worst SB record (0-4)!
huntnfishsd
Easy now Badger, this is all in good fun. But, if I remember right, didn't your team just have Culpepper in for a visit?? This could be the start of the Cheeseheads downfall....
Badger
Huntnfishsd - Yes, I know it's all in good fun! I have plenty of fishing/hunting buddies that are purple fans. The Pack did have Culpepper in (he once was a very good QB), but the knee wrecked his career. Remember, Brad Johnson left the purple and won a SB with Tampa. The Vikings should win the North this year with a solid "D" and AP in the backfield. GB was the youngest team in the NFL the last 2 years, so there might be some hope depending on Rodgers performance.
huntnfishsd
Yeah, I have more Packer friends than I care to! But it makes football season all that much more fun!! I agree with all your points and it was definately unfortunate for Daunte as he was one of the best (would have been MVP if not for Manning). The Vikings SHOULD win the North, but we have to come together as a team with all the new pieces we added in the offseason and that is never as easy as it seems! The Packers will not fall off the map because they return a ton of young talent. If Rodgers can do half of what Favre did then the Packers will be a force this year, unfortunately!!
