I am so hooked on every aspect of it. I love sitting out on the river at night when it is so incredibly peaceful. It's my way of relieving stress and getting things off my mind. And then the rush of a Flathead taking the bait is just incredible.

Can't wait to be in the King of Cats next season just for fun and hopefully catch some 40+ Lb. fish.

Here is my first flat head ever. Caught it today fishing a jig and a gulp minnow on 6lb test.

Measurements were 43.5 long and 31 inch girth does anyone have some idea on the weight for this fish.

I was going to have my kid hold it up for a better picture but he was not too keen on sticking his thumbs in its mouth.

Wow that is an awesome fish! Nice work getting it in on 6lb test. Other people could probably give you a better idea of what it weighs, but looking back at one of Hansons earlier in the year was 44x30 and it was 47lb so thats about the same length and girth.

Took me a little over 30 minutes to get her in the boat. Arm was getting a little sore at the end. Should have mentioned in the first post that the fish was released. I may have to get my muskie gear out and put on a bully to catch a walley :-)
