Artic Armor V Ice Armor Suit

Hey, Looking for information in regards to the CC Ice Armor Suits...

Can you purchase just the bibs or just the coat seperately. Whenever I have seen them in store they are always a package deal. If i would be able to purchase seperately would I have to pay more?

Thanks,

I can only say that I love my Artic Armor and the service at http://outdoorprostore.com . They ship and arrive quick, and he answers questions and knows his sizing. I have the red suit, and will probably get a camo jacket at least in the future for duck hunting. They are a lot warmer than you would think, and much thinner than you would think, for being that warm. The camo feels a bit thinner yet, and slightly lighter I think, my brother has the camo version.

good luck.

What about wind protection? How about manuverability, is one more comfortable vs. the other? waterproofing better on one or the other? Better padding? I know the ice armor is sold everywhere even ace hardware. I can assume arctic armor is more pricey. I have seen the ice armor for as little as $149.99 and the thermal ice armor for $199.99.

I like many above do not have the Ice Armor suit, but I do have the Arctic Armor..

Fully water proof.. no doubt, I have knelt in 6" of water and stayed dry!... Wind.. I was out today and felt none except on my face. No long Jons, just sweats underneath.

I have been nothing but happy with my AA.. I cant think of a complaint.

The floatation really works with the AA - I think I saw a demo on TV.

I have the Vexilar Cold Stap combo (but sold seperately) and am very happy with it. More than likely you will be happy with any of the options (Strikemaster, Vexilar, Ice Armor, Arctic Armor, SnowSuit). Price, fit, and that I could buy the bibs/jacket seperately drove my decision.

I have not tried the ice armour. I have the Artic Armour, Like Deitz said " keeps me warm and dry". The wind was blowing pretty good on both Saturday and Sunday night, I felt like I was sitting in my living room as warm as I was fishing outside my otter. Best purchase I have made this ice season and it'll work in the boat too! \:\)

I have been fortunate enough to try both the Ice Armor smurf suit and the Arctic Armor red suit. I sold my Ice Armor smurf suit after I bought the AA suit. The AA suit is TONS lighter and warmer. I must say the thing is so warm I rarely wear the coat while walking out to my spot because it keeps the warmth in in so well. The Ice Armor suit was never that warm.

I was out fishing in my portable in -50 wind chill a couple weekends ago and with my back turned to the wind I could have fished outside no problem (well if the hole wouldn't have frozen up so fast. All I usually wear underneath is UA Base 3.0, a sweatshirt and sweatpants. I could get by with just the UA, but I always like to make sure I am warm.

Anyone hear any comments about the SnoSuit product? Looks pretty well designed, but they are spendy at almost $600 for the set.

Hard to justify given the $130 I spent on my Vex Cold Snap combo that works great - light, warm, water/wind proof, & cheap (added bonus - I don't look like a smurf .. LOL). Only wish it would float like the AA.

Tisosy, you can see them at Joes on hwy 36. You'll be amazed at how lightweight they are, but don't let it fool you. They are toasty warm.
